Thats a great shot. The landrovers have a great view ....... sitting on the high, dry, solid ground. The Patrol would have got out on his own, Im sure. But sometimes you gotta let them help. Its a bit like letting your kids think their helping you ... builds their confidence.Just a reminder Patrol owners, you ain't invincible.
This puppy wouldn't start, winch didn't work. Luckily a Defender with a flat front tyre was able to winch and then snatch him out (Broke a strap in the process).

I was going to say - how UN-usual for a Land Rover to be broken..........
you should check the diffs and transfer there @BigSkiddy , Land Rovers are world famous for dropping their bundle when the work gets too hard......
Great picsWe had a LC200 sitting there, but we wanted to make the Patrol driver sweat a bit. He had put his tyres down to 18psi which seems a bit low considering he drove like a out of control maniac when he hit the bog.

We did the right thing and gave his wife and kids a ride home. He's probably still out there trying to get it going.
That's my mates Defender, he only just put a new diff in it recently.

Sorry for hijacking your thread.
Caltex will love youHad my 2003 3L Patrol for 5 years, was the best car I ever owned, was always worried about it grenading, bout a 2010 TB48 and now 4 years into this one, plan on keeping the TB48 for 10 years or so, rock solid engine, fun to boot, but yes thirsty
You are right, the 4.8's driven nicely are not that bad. Same as the Y62, they get even better consumption than the 4.8. Towing is where they drink like a drunken sailor.Getting down to 16lph without towing now. My 3 L was around 11/12 lph

Just for something different, the BBB goes in for a service, i mention that we are still getting a smell from the car (not just when the boys are in it either). Take the head service guy for a spin, and he says its the clutch slipping. To say I'm getting a bit peeved with this car is a huge understatement.
Wondering if anyone has any idea how much this would be to get fixed/replaced, and where abouts in Perth one could get it fixed, other than the car yard? all the mod money for the van is getting eaten up and I'm not happy!
