Fantastic news @Smirke

Just remember if you do reverse the van in low range make sure its "only" in a straight line as it will damage your transfer case when turning. This is because the front and rear wheels turn in a different arc which puts undue pressure on the transfer case gears. And the same when going forward again too.

If its a loose surface like gravel or grass it should be fine though. Just don't do it on bitumen or concrete.

I can hear people now........that cars a lemon!.....just get rid of it..........not again.....
Well, it's going back AGAIN. The auto sparky fixed the 2nd battery today, and when I went to get it, he suggest I take it to get looked at because there's a smell when he lifted the bonnet, and to him it was the clutching! Told him the story. He was floored. Rang car yard, and Friday we are taking it for a test run. More of my time wasted. Getting very peeved to say the least. ( also reminded them of the email I sent thru the day after getting it back where I mentioned the shuddering and clicking.)
Anyone got a grenade handy???

@Smirke this is getting silly now. FYI mine was replaced twice ...... maybe nissan policy??? To me it sounds very much like a faulty pressure plate on this one. It will definitely have to come out again ........ DOH!!!

Well, if it does, they know they have a time limit. Caravans got to go in for its warrantee work and then I'm going to coral bay on the 3rd!!! Not to mention our meet up on the 1st. Stuff them. They can work to my schedule now. Might get the salary packaging people on to it like my other brother said. See what happens then.

Had the 2nd battery attended to yesterday. Took it back today, as was charged $60. Wasn't quibbling over the price at all, but checking that everything was done on it, considering nissan were going to charge us $436 for it.
All was good. Guy even offered to charge us more if it made us feel better.
Tomorrow it goes back to nissan though for a test run. I'm going to be a passenger, and see what they say about the clutch. Thinking of taking it elsewhere to get checked. Anyone know a reputable clutch place near fremantle???
