Landcruiser 200 gvm 3350kg 195kw 650nm
Nissan neva gvm 2880kg 170kw 550nm

At this point the nissan is only around 1.3% ahead on power to weight ratio.

Torque to weight 1.6% advantage to the 200.

Throw in wheel sizing and gearbox ratios that assist the beast to be drivable.

Add in the actual comfortable and roomy cabin of the 200 plus seating for 8.

Do us 200 owners have a winner or not. :argue:

MIne has a Fiat engine so I can assume the Italian build is certainly better than some Frog concoction. Built in Thailand, Italian engine, Chinese oil filter and god knows what, Australian badge on front and Aussie oil in the sump (put it there today).............thank god it has QLD beer in the fridge, multiculturism gone crazy............................What was the topic ????????.....................

Nissan engines blow to pieces
Toyota's burn oil and use way too much fuel and cost too much
Isuzu's have a really old fasioned engine that also blows up (and it's a ute)
Colerado has an even older Jeep engine (also a ute)
Jeeps burn, break down, get punctures, break down, are unreliable, (extremely comfortable and use very little fuel and can handle 3.5 ton and I am still waiting for mine to break down)
Mitsubishi's have really really really old engines with very little torque

I found all of this information on another forum, so I would go for a Holden 1 toner and a slide on to be safe

The dual cabs are soooo very uncomfortable compared to my 100 series. I drove the new ranger and bt 50 and was not impressed. The auto gearbox is nowhere as nice as my old cruiser.
I was looking at the chev 6.5 turbo conversion through Brunswick diesel but it will cost $40,000 plus getting it there.
Going to look at the Colorado but it most likely will still be similar to the other dual cabs
Might have to go the 200 series

Thanks for all the input guys

I actually found my Colorado the auto was heaps better once I had some weight in it and towing it comes into it's own but empty it's a pain.....Coming from a Jeep with a Merc engine and gearbox, the Merc gearbox is just so smooth and spot on so I wasn't expecting the same but its pretty good.

My mate was towing a 26ft 3200kg (dry) Elite Caravan with a Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel, which was on the upper end of its capacity.
He has now purchased a F350 Super Duty 6.7L diesel.
Can tow over 5ton whilst carrying over a ton in the tray.

Only problem is he can only park in truck stops off the Hume Highway.

I did look at the F series fords but they are such a big vehicle and I am not sure how good they would go off road. I need to be able to go off road as I am a hunter and I need a capable vehicle.

Bought the Ranger without even doing a test drive until delivery. Took some notice of reports on Forum's and elsewhere and figured it would suffice until I did what most 4x4 owners, and others, do and modified the suspension to fit my needs and experience. In my opinion the only uncomfortable part about it would be the seats. If there was a version to suit I'd fit the Recaro's that I had in a Range Rover for 30+ years. Only trouble is, no side airbags in them. Still have those seats and considering turning them in to office chairs, or Ranger rear seats

Recaro seats, nice, used sit in them and it would be like they locked you in position........................your right about get the vehicle and change the suspension, sort of standard thing to do I think...................Colorado has 8 air bags enough to scare the daylights out of you if you get hit.
