It's the first time we've been there, and it was busy but not too bad. It is a huge area so it's hard to imagine it getting packed. We might shoot down at Christmas and check it out. That will be the tester!
That looks great, expands. I bet the kids had ball, I have no idea where that place is but it certainly appears worth a visit.
Not the best of weekends just gone, just got back after 6 odd weeks in Melbourne with the very sad new that one of my younger work mates, aged about 34 to 36, has 2 young children and has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has 3 to 6 months to live. Spent Fri & Sat trying to organise some gear to go towards items in raffles and auctions on his benefit day to raise funds for him & his family.
It totally amazes me the generosity of people and business as to items donated along with cash to help such a great young guy and his family, hopefully now he can get some treatment to help him on his way to being cured.
Got home 1:45pm Friday arvo hitched up the Panda rolled out of the driveway by 2:30pm, Arrive at 7 mile Beach Tourist Park (Gerroa)
350pm, glad we booked, the place was packed, Tents campers, vans and not to mention the Cabin dwellers, ther sure must have been a lot of kids off school Friday (yes including mine). managed to squeeze into our site said g'day to the neigbours behind as I set up.
Wasn't long before we had neighbours next to us as a couple rolled in with a fairly new looking Eagle Camper (on road).
They were interested in having a look at our Panda.
Friday night the heavans opened (nothing unusual about that on my trips). Saturday was overcast and but mostly dry with just a lazy day, Sunday with a late check out and fine weather no need to rush about so a trip to Berry Markets was in order, but not before folding the beds in.
back from market around lunch time and headed off around 2:15pm (had till 4pm).
Expecting Photos?
To bad, there isn't any
Don't bring that rain down here at the end of the month
and as for no pics...................did this trip really happen
What did I do....... Well I use to race atv (quads). So I thought I'd give it another go. 3hrs later, and a bit stiff and sore ( I am 42 ). A mate blew up his motor... I did enjoy it but I'm selling the quad. While riding, u have time to think..... And I need a generator for the expanda, sooooooo, the quads got to go. A new chapter in my and my families life is about to begin. Cheers. Hope to see you on the road.
We went camping this weekend at Bendeela. Great spot and free too. Grass was nice underfoot after our last trip! Why pay a caravan park for a dirt patch full of bindiis* when you can camp for free on a perfect lawn?
We had a great time, canoeing and swimming in the river. No fires at this spot but there is drinking water and toilets if you need them.
*Our last trip was a shocker at a CP near the entrance. More bindiis than I've ever seen before or thought was possible and staff did not care. I would have written a bad report but didn't want to offend or bring down the tone of this site.
We went to strathmerton ulupna island
Looks like a nice spot that van park...
Is there river access from the park at all?
Yep river access for Canoes/Kayak etc near by boat ramp for anything else, also beach access from park.
The park is divided in 2 by the road West side is Office powered grass sites and mostly Permanent vans, pool, camp kitchen + seperated cafe and avery.
East side (beach side) Powered slab and grass site as well as ensuites *Try posting a bit more so your post isn't boring* Cabins, camp kitchen, pool, playground, and is well protected from coastal winds etc. short walk onto beach.

Looks nice relgate, do you have solar for charging or didn't you need it?
Cheers.
Bendeela is a.great spot, so close to home for us, unfortunetely it isn't pooch friendly so we have to settle for the Glenmac CP just down the road which is and also allows fires but does get a bit sloppy after.heavy rain
Have you been there in peak time? What is it like then, easy enough to get a spot and not too many hoons?
