Not a weekend job but had to replace the timber on our deck. Cheap treated pine done nearly 10 years ago and now splitting and breaking, a danger to the grandkids playing on it. A trip to Masters found the "Clever Wood" decking for 30% off so we purchased enough to redo all the timber.

Timber had been laid on steel joists so all the old timber had been screwed down so a couple of days was spent unscrewing those that would undo and cutting (grinding) off the ones that wouldn't. Steel had to be wire brushed and painted with rust converterThe new stuff, made from sawdust and recycled plastic bottles and other recycled bits, had a groove down each side that allowed screw clips to clamp each board to each joist without nails or screws on the surface.

Very happy with the finished product, no painting, oiling or staining and guaranteed for 20 years. I'll let you know if it lasts. :p

Anne and I used the same product outside our bedroom Paul. So far so good. It was there when you and Elaine visited a year ago. The only issue we have is because during winter we have cold and damp it does grow a bit of green mould, but easily cleaned off.

My weekend started early as Friday was a public holiday so we left early for a family weekend on Thursday night to Mt Alexander near Castlemaine.

Friday was a beautiful day weather wise so we took a short drive to the top of the mountain to check out some of the transmission towers.

The fire pit got a good workout. (dads bus)

The weather turned a bit on Saturday morning and we were in the clouds.

This morning we were greeted with persistent rain which was a bit of a pain but pack up was quick and easy. It was a great weekend and we enjoy getting away with all our family.

A bit safer, but less funner. I'll get another one when the kids are older I reckon.

Yep,
I said the same thing about 14 years ago.
Still got the helmet and boots.....

I swore it would only be a year or two before I got another bike
But just don't seem to have the time anymore.
Maybe need to give up work for more pleasure.!!!

True that @bigcol shed a tear when the bloke rode off with it :(

I've given it 5 years to get another one @Delano then again I might get into cars again. Sold my C10 Silverado and have regretted that decision ever since.

Never had an off @DRW (touch wood) but have come very close, also continually had trouble keeping points on my license.

Went to Bendigo Leasurefest today it was hot.. Brother inlaw looking to upgrade his van tried to steer him towards a Starcraft bunk he does not mind the Jurgens bunk. Said the 19 bunk in touring weight would be less it was only 100k more then the Jurgens in full outback and $13k cheaper
Interesting there was 3 different manufactures with 4 bunk vans to view all $80k plus and 24ft.
Royal Flair and Golden Eagle do the same layout with L shape bunks at the rear and now Leader do one like the Elite with the toilet shower at rear

When we looked a couple years back there was none although I do not have $80k+ to spend and even back when we got the 22.68 another $30k for a extra couple of feet and a bunk hard to justify. I wonder how they are selling.

Sorry no other photos was hot trying to watch where the big kids where going.
@Smergen you be happy to know your van has already had a price rise on RRP and the one there had no air cond....

Maybe weird the van had no air although the previous show van they forgot the awning :)

Aircon and awning were options on my van. That's part of the philosophy with the Gecko. Start with the bones and work up... I did ask just how many vans sell without an awning and was met with "not many"... :) Aircon not always a necessity and adds some weight. I wouldn't be without it, but I can understand others not needing it.
