@AzHaych we signed off on our 17.56-2 late last week it was due to be delivered mid August and then saw the post about the 18.58-2 on Saturday, they have let us change to the new model but delivery has been pushed back until the end of October.

The price on these seems to be pretty good. I just pulled out the price list from 2013. The 18.57-9 would be the closest comparison
The 2015 18.58-2 OB base price is $500 cheaper!
Does a poptop cost more or less to make? I would suggest there would not be much in it.
We brought the 18.58-2 today. Engineers have made changes from the show with feedback. Waiting on the new floor plan tomorrow to review.
Also they say the roof will be lighter to lift with the upgraded struts compared to our 17.56-2 we have now.
If our roof is anything to go by, it wouldn't be hard to get a lighter one...
Mrs Cr can't lift our roof from the front, can just lift it using the back lift first and has trouble controlling the drop down.

They've shortened the dinette to make it wider through the walkway in the middle. Also some change to the bunk corners and curtain door in front of toilet. We are not using the curtain, we have opted to have a door made at our own expense as Jayco will not do a door. @Still_dreamin

@chartrock theyre heavy and my wife struggles also.
Hope the new one is easier as I've added more weight in the way of solar to the new van.

Surprisingly it wasnt, luckly this is my 4th van i have bought from them. I was lucky that they can put into there stock thou.
Then again i did tell them they where going to have an argument if they didnt
I hate the wait, we would have had the 17.56:2 in August, now we are looking at the middle of October at the earliest. Still happy to get the slighty bigger van thou.
