Pretty sure it was Big W. Try also, Target, House, K Mart etc.
I like it as it is multifunction, I try and make sure everything we have in the van has at least a couple of uses.

Saw them in bigW this morning - does it fit in the babyQ when it's folded flat? (When you want to put a pizza stone on it for example)

Ok so even though hubby is away the kids have decided they want to camp out in the van again tonight :)

So I've just gone and set it all up by myself (minus the awning), which took a while as I wasn't present at the handover so had no idea what I was doing! lol

The water hose is stupid - why do they put brass ends on it when the connection on the van is plastic?? I cant seem to stop it dripping ugh...

It's been very warm here today so it's a good excuse to test out the air-con tonight methinks :D

Apart from the mattress it was good @Ren77 ! I got out my new kettle and made hot chocolates for the kids - they thought it was awesome :D

Went to the expo this morning - man it was bloody hot! I thought winter was nearly here, but evidently not today...

It was pretty good - mainly fishing stuff there, but Jayco had a bunch of vans there, and so did Coromal. There were a lot of camper trailers set up too.

There were quite a few "accessories stands" which were selling gennies, kitchen accessories and lots of 12 volt stuff, but the kids were losing interest quickly so I had to keep moving lol

I think the main caravan & camping show at the Entertainment Centre (later in the year I think), is way better for caravanners - so keep an eye out for the ads on that one :)

Off on our 'shakedown trip' tomorrow afternoon! Can't wait!!!

I don't know if I need to get guy ropes to tie the awning down with? We will be putting up a long shade wall, so would this be sufficient? Oh it's so hard to know what to do - hate being a noob lol

Oh and I should mention the awesome service we have received from Jayco Townsville to date! We had an issue with our roof lift arms, which made lifting the roof incredibly difficult - even for my husband. And as hubby has been away the last couple of weeks, I had no way of getting the van into the dealership to have them look at it. So they came out, picked up my van, took it in, replaced the roof lift arms with 'easy lift' ones, and brought it back out to me the same afternoon!

Good customer service can be hard to come by these days, so I am really very impressed! :D

(and no I'm not affiliated with them in any way - just a very happy customer!)

Good luck on the maiden voyage, enjoy and don't forget the pics ;)
Would recommend using the guy ropes just incase of a sudden gust of wind (And not talking about hubby  )
Have actually seen a few people use heavy duty screw in pegs with ratchet straps?

Thanks @dagree - will duck into BCF or Anaconda and find some first thing tomorrow!

Is there a certain size rope I should be getting? Or are they all standard sizes?

Sorry for all the questions!

Ok we made it to Rollingstone! Took a while to set up - we made the mistake of un-hitching then realized the van wasn't level so had to hook it up again and put the levellers under the wheels lol, but oh well the grey nomads in the park had fun watching us

Fired up the weber to cook sausages - love it already! Can't wait to do pizzas tomorrow night!

Here's a pic of our rig -

And a night shot of our set up -

So far so good - I'm buggered though, looking forward to a good nights sleep!
