View attachment 22837 @Flossymk1 we had the same issue with our beds getting wet once, never want to go through that again. We made these plastic end covers that just Velcro onto the shade privacy screens. They may not look the best but for $100 bucks it will do the job. Better then paying $900. Maybe down the track we might get something made but can't justify it at this stage, to many other things to buy hope you find a solution the works best for you. We are going to Townsville this weekend so I'm going to Bunnings to check out those lights for fridge etc....

Great idea Chooky! And certainly a lot cheaper! I have however just seen a pic of some 'Jayco' ones, and am just waiting on more information re price etc - shhhhhh!

Back from our long weekend away, and it rained again! But it was still a good weekend - although I am looking forward to a trip without rain lol

It was pouring when we packed up too - I was very glad that we had our van and not the old tent - I felt really sorry for all the tent & camper trailer campers that were trying to pack up..

Did a roast chook and veg in the Weber - turned out beautifully!

Next mod on the list is installing some power points and a light under the bunk towards the back of the van (hubby to do this) - the kids love sitting in their little 'spot' colouring in etc, but it gets a bit dark when it's overcast, and having somewhere to plug in their ipods or portable DVD players would be excellent!

Been busy putting some Velcro strips under the dinette seats as it's really annoying how they come out a bit when you're sitting down (the little round Velcro circles that Jayco have used are completely inadequate!). Also ordered some @crustt clear windows - can't wait till they arrive!

Here's a pic of our van and towing vehicle - we're very happy with the Navara's performance, and also the Milenco Grand Aero towing mirrors!

Well we are off to Mission Beach for a few days! Van is loaded and we are on the road

My @crustt clear windows arrived yesterday and have been put on the van - will take some pics once we arrive and set up etc.

We are getting much better at packing - let's see how we go setting up this time! Lol

All set up at Mission Beach, and true to form it has already rained lol.. But the @crustt clear windows have already paid for themselves - they are fantastic!! If you have a poptop van and haven't already got a set, do yourself a favour and get some!

First mod we did to our van was to fit the @crustt clears to it (Kept them off the old van).

Well the weather has turned around, and today is absolutely stunning! Went on a lovely rainforest walking track this morning and got some great shots!

Mission Beach is lovely - nice, wide stretch of sand, and my daughter couldn't get over how soft and fine the sand was lol

Van is now SOLD and has been collected today - it's going to feel weird having no caravan out the front for the next couple of months...
