My mate up the road told me he was coming to take me and my boat fishing this week, I’ll have to now to show you some real fish
Shane at the local Foodworks, where you usually catch your fish, tells me he has fresh load of fish in the fridge. Any claimed actual catch will require video, and we're expecting a close up of the eyes, guts still inside and the fish tapped with an empty bottle for that tell tail frozen clunk. Ive already printed out a pic of those other two starters, just in case you intend giving them a 4th run around the block.

Mystery fish Im sure is a Gunard..... Kiwis luv em.
Doesn't look like any Gurnard Ive seen. It looks like a small miracle it was able to chow down on the hook. By the scale of the hook the fish is either a monster and that's your anchor hanging out its gob, or its about 3 inches long. Gurnard are actually pretty good eating, they used to be very common down here. I used to catch them quite often on clams when I was a kid, but in the other bay.

Due to a crook knee and not being able to walk we have postponed fishing until Thursday I had to cancel my golf game this morning as well so I’m pretty disappointed :-(

What about some Kayaking exercise and a bit of trawling on the side ?????????????
Funny you should mention kayaking. Kayaking was ok early on, then it wasn't ok and promoted to the activities know to cause mass carnage and only a genuine non compliant death spreader would do it ..... and now?? Now, as of Fri it's been cleansed by the magic fairy dust and its "A Ok" once more along with paddle boards, and swimming which are also back on the table.

Now as long as I'm only kayaking with a fishing rod, and not fishing from a kayak all should be fine I suppose

The App will take 3 years to develop at an estimated cost of $5mill. It will blow out to 5 years, $8mill and by the time its released a Pakistani primary school student will have made a free work-around App which will position every mobile phone in Australia in the Rev ScoMo's Kirribilly lounge room (just joking, he'll be long gone by then). The project's final release will end up being an offshore call centre ringing each Aussie and very politely asking in a thick Indian accent if you wouldn't mind telling them where you currently are standing. You may need to stand still for 20min or so whilst the NBN catches up with the data entry chic

Ill play their stupid games, ive still got the yak hanging in the garage. I argued with Princess the need to keep it ... just in case. Little did i know.

Off i go, wish me luck ... I know of a reef in the other room that holds a few bigger fish on a rising tide, failing that the laundry always produces.

What a great job !!! Prime minister for Australia, right now.
It wouldn't matter what you did, somebody would blooming whinge.
Now isn't the hard part......it's coming out the other side.
Hopefully they will learn something and become a little stricter on who they do business with and why

Right on @Disco Duck . The hard decision is "when" and coming out the other side. If timing is correct, we will ALL be a lot happier, and accept the inconvenience of past restrictions as just a pain in the ar$e. If wrong, the decision maker will become the pariah of Australia, and reminded of the miscalculation at every opportunity! And for us poor peasants, it will be back to the full restrictions again for an unknown time. Not to mention those unfortunate to get caught on the second wave of infections and not recover. Tough call!!
