+1 for Milenco Aero's. Having used the strap on 'truck mirrors' for years, I haven't looked back......
Well I have 'looked back' but you know what I mean! :)

After my mirror mount job got cleaned up by a truck I got a set of these and they are great, easy to just slip the mirror bit off when no van on back while leaving the main mount in position. Pic is from the Supercheap site.

@bigcol it's just because you have a run of the mill car.

you would expect that "run of the mill" extended mirrors would fit better then hey........

pity they dont

and they are not cheap to try them to find what will acctually work

thats why I went for the Clear Views..................

and

never had a problem since.

They don't make em for my model...........................it's the price that scares me, they would want to tell you that something is there for those dollars.

For the price I'd be looking for more than just mirrors, maybe not sexual favours, but something!!!
Second thoughts they would definitely need to throw in the sexual favours! :)

I wanted a pair of the Clearviews when they were $400.00 a pair
thought to self - way WAY too much for towing mirrors
persisted with the crappy ones - even got a head ache once from watching the vibrating mirror

had to get a new mirror from Toyota for a mates 100 series - $350 + GST (Gov Stealing Tax) his towing mirror - not sure what type, damaged the mirror - almost pulled them off actually as a truck went by to close

hmmmmmmmmmmm starting to look ok for price
no pissing around looking for them when your about to leave, cleaning them up, re-adjusting constantly as you drive, watching the vibrations, putting them on, taking them off etc

went and priced them again - $750 a pair...........

dayam

but, the boss said - if you want them, get them
so I did

and have NEVER regretted the amount of coin spent

I tell you @bigcol, that makes so much sense...when the truck tried to take me out I lost the R/H mirror and if I could get Clearviews for my Grand I could have put my hand up and said I need a "new clearview" to the assessor, then raced out and bought a LH to match, $400 for a new one from Jeep so they would be cheaper.

After being pulled over by a officious policeman on the Nowa Nowa road on our trip to Lakes Entrance this year, when on a 38 degree arvo I took the wife and 3 yr old for a quick drive to escape the heat in the pop up and hopefully get the lil flea to have a short sleep, because I had already put my mirrors on for the 7 am departure the next day, done, $200 plus for having them on with no van. So the extra $500 for the clearviews is looking good now we are upgrading to the expanda and I dont have to worry about the vibration, the folding in when a truck goes past, or a nasty lil bit of revenue raising from a country policemen.

Man that Sucks! I've done a few short trips the shops etc with my mirrors still on. Didn't know it would involve a $200 fine!
