Went up to the folks on the weekend sans van just to get away... and we thought we'd take the opportunity to go check out some River Murray free campsites for future possible trips:
- Barmah State Forrest - Great spot, nice and flat and easily accessible
- Christie's Beach - A little tougher to get into, had quite a few rowdy locals, and no real beach...
- Ulupna Island - We can confirm this little piece of river paradise was back open with some newly graded tracks...
Drove all over Ballarat in the McDonald's 44th Bball tournament. Boys got runners up in 1st grade great achievement.(normally play 3rd grade in the season games) Pace.
We took our 17.56-2 to canberra over the last week for its first decent run, went great the roof mount a/c struggled with the -4 degree tempretures but the $14 kmart heater fan done its job boosting the temp. But a great weekend away mybtwo girls has a blast went to the mint, snow, parliament house, and a lot more too much to fit in to 5 days

Ran the glow worm tunnel half marathon today at Newnes.
great run which followd the old train line from Newnes up to (and through!) the glowworm tunnel and back again.
had a great day. Top atmosphere.
No camping this year but planning to take the family and camp next year.
Stopped on at the Lithgow workers for a chicken Parmy afterwards.

Yep its the latest V Strom, we do a lot of long rides on country roads and as much as I loved the Harley it had no rear travel at all, this thing has 61/2" so it should be kinder to my aging bones (I hope)
could have towed the van behind the Harley, you must remember this si a jap crapper lol
