And the Wombat forrest was pretty quiet where I went. I wasn`t tackling any big bog holes but found a couple of good tracks. It was my first time down there.

If you ever get stuck in the Wombat mate, give me a call and I'll pick you up. I can see it from my backyard... :)

I was nearly going to give you a buzz at the last minute but thought you would be busy this close to Xmas. Might tee up a day after the holidays for a drive. I know @Kenshi123 is keen for a day out.

Sounds good and we might even be able to get @Pace to get his Pathfinder dirty as well! Not forgetting @mfexpanda in his well set up ute, and any other members close by. Might have to start another thread after Christmas for this one?

My Sunday was spent pulling the pump in our on site sewerage system out for repair after a lightning strike. The capacitor had blown itself apart. DSCI0067.JPG DSCI0068.JPG Apologies for the crappy pictures. Lucky our nearest Jaycar open on Sunday so manage to get a fairly close replacement that could be made to fit. But the pump has to be assembled almost blindly as you cannot hold anything in position while you assemble it so I manage to pinch a couple of wires. Put it back in the tank and tested it but it tripped the breaker. Pulled it out again, pulled it apart, repaired the pinched wires, assembled it and put it back in the tank. Again it would not start, pulled it out, pulled it apart and a single core wire had broken. Very fine wire but very inflexible, soldered it and put heat shrink on it, assembled and refitted in the pump in the tank but still would not go. Went through the whole procedure again to find another single core wire had broken but also another wire appeared to be broken inside while the insulation was not so I repaired that too. This time I decided to try it in a bucket of water instead of refitting in the tank. The damned thing worked but emptied the bucket of water in a shower over me. We had cloudy skies today but the air was certainly blue round me. :devilish::devilish::devilish:

Finished up the day at Movieworld for their "White Christmas" celebrations. Thousands of people packed in but they do a good parade. I did not take my decent camera so most pics did not come out well here is a couple.

And on topic...........................damn stupid laptop won't post a pic,,,suffice to say I'm lazing on the beach. Reboot and all working.

Sounds like a good idea. I think @ROnEM are out our side of town also.

Thanks for the shout-out @Smergen

Yep - would be in that! After all the money spent on the Cruiser with the Bullbar, winch, full bash plates, lift, etc., have been so busy for the last 6 months, have not even christened it with an off-road trip. Wombat is only 20 minutes form our place, so we are in for a day of 4x4ing...

Nice to be back to the forum :)

Pulled the Panda out and washed it yesterday - had the auto elect over tonight to find and fix failed circuits - found corroded circuit/connectors, but that is another story...

Can't remember when I last logged onto the forum - very sad!

Well it's about time you're back!! :) All good mate and good to have you back on here. Time often passes quickly before you even know it! It would be great to finally catch up in the New Year if possible and I'll make sure you're tagged in any possible plans that may eventuate.
