Pretty flash in town we actually have a pub, 2 garages, 2 hair dressers, bakery, realestate, Spàr and an Adult Shop scattered along the highway, little shopping centre has 4 occupants and about 6 empty shops though.

Marinade in a mix of soy, red wine, garlic, pepper & chilli for no less than 12hrs and then dry it on skewers in the oven @ about 50-70c for 4-5 hours with the fan going and the door chocked open with a wooden spoon.
Easy!
Sounds nice never thought of adding red wine might try that next here is my favourite recipe I've tried a few different ones but keep going back to this
Cut up Strips then min 12 hour marinade in Vac Pac bag
1kg meat
1 Cup Soy sauce
2 Tbls Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbls Chilli flakes
1 Tbls Sugar
2 Tbls Honey
2 Tbls BBQ sauce

I like your mod, but why the plumbing in the van ???? did think of something similar but just bought big blister packs of water from ALDI instead, more time for fishing then.

thats what I do as well......
just been to the shops and picked up an 8 pack of 1.25l water bottles......$5.00 from Coles - thats for the coffee machine
I already have a 24x 600ml bottles sitting here for drinking......

I would "like" to one day do that sort of thing, and have an extra water tank for drinking water, but have not been too enthused to do it as we dont do alot of free camping - yet -

Well the 14 doesn't have room for another water tank anyway and I don't want the weight and when I'm in NSW any excuse to go to ALDi (and check out the grog shop) is welcome.

Thats an odd combination; 2 hairdressers and garages, but only one pub and xxx shop .... the priorities seem a bit unbalanced

Needed to get a new dishwasher as our existing one died through lack of use. With only 2 of us in the house it would take 4-5 days to fill it so we decided on the two drawer Fisher & Paykel bartering price from $1399 down to $1250. Then Mrs CR decided as it was stainless steel finish as opposed to existing white we should upgrade the rest of the kitchen equipment (also white) so $2500 later we have a new cooktop and oven (stainless) to be installed. :o

@dagree @chartrock I have a Joinery business ..... that is sweet music to my ears. Cant say I haven't witnessed that countless times before.

More, more; same, same I say. Tax, death and kitchen/bathroom renos, you know deep down they're all inevitable; don't resist, resistance its futile. Just roll over, feign a smile, say goodbye to that new boat you dream about in your head, hand over the cash to the good lady and say "yes dear, of course I love you enough to have the best"

@chartrock from where Im standing, that whole kitchen maybe looking a little tired now, with all those sparkling new appliances. Maybe I should have a chat to Mrs @chartrock, and bring her upto speed with all the current trends and ideas. Only fair after you purchased that new caravan I think. Ha.

From Joiners all around this fair land, can I add to our our cheerful xmas message ........ "gotcha"!!!!!

@Crusty181 keep away from my place then, the rumblings of a kitchen reno have been sounding for ages and I keep finding excuses, pack up van and go to beach is a good distraction.
Did have an idea to redo laundry with cupboard and bench top with dishwasher and front loader underneath, other day washer blows up so we end up with a top loader, so thankful that I had decided to put off reno until later. Kitchen needs to happen soon though will have to wait till winter, be okay if I could do it in metal, not great with wood unless it's with a chain saw.

yeah, my other house needs the kitchen done - my son is 6'5"
and the bench tops are only 1000mm off the ground (why do they do that?????)

when I built this place (14yrs ago) - I made ALL benches 1500mm off the ground - (bathroom benches as well) - and the kitchen bench is 4000mm long -

:p:p:p to @Crusty181

You Joinery people have a lot to answer for. The worst thing ever invented is any form of particle board, closely followed by the evil Gyprock people. Proper timber, cement sheeting and brick/concrete are the ways to go, especially in the tropics and for rental properties. Currently dealing with a lot of kitchen cabinetry that will have to be replaced due to uncaring Tenants. It most certainly won't have provision for a dishwasher again as they don't care if the connection under the sink is water tight and don't plug it up when they have departed so the next one gets a nice wet set of cabinets.>:(
