Last weekend we went away for 3 nights to "Belmont Pines" caravan park, only 20min from home as my wife had to work on Friday. Beautiful part of Lake Maquarie, we had a waterfront site (well close enough) next to the camp kitchen but after i used their hotplate i opted for our weber :) The park is clean and tidy with new amenities being built, worth a stop at if your passing through! This is also very popular area for kite surfing, which has sparked an interest! Anyway here's a few pics of our view.

Yep it's certainly a great view/place. Some friends (non vanners) think its a bit strange staying only 20min away from home .....but you don't always need to travel far for views like this which you would normally drive past!

Hey Burnsy,

Great spot. I have stayed at Belmont but not that particular caravan park. Wish I'd know about "Belmont Pines" as it most certainly looks the pick. Can't remember exactly what the name of the park was that we stayed at, as it was some years ago now. I do remember that it had a totem pole, and it was on the other side of the lake.

Thanks for sharing!!

Cheers

Looks pretty easy to me! :D
Had the same idea about kite buggying a few years back to keep up with son. A life changing experience, and I haven't been the same since. The scars are fading but I still have longer arms to show for the effort. Just enjoy watching these days.

Won't be doing much this weekend.
Our kid came home with a mega cold that she has been happy to share around the family.
Kids should be quarantined till they turn 18 in my books.
