I was much smarter and went around, though it was muddier.
Great scenery in this area, soooo many tracks to explore.
He probably would have made it, except his diff was like the front end of a dozer and pushed up a heap of mud which stopped him. His recovery point was too far below the bar, they ended up pulling him out backwards. about 4inches of nice muddy water in the patrol.Nice shots MolongMick, that mud hole looks interesting

Son of Bob hill climb, very steep and rough, the BT was the second to attempt but the first to make it. So no pickies of my rig.

Had the brush bars and side steps added about 2 months back, just trying to work out some storage ideas for the back tub. I will build it myself, just nutting out some ideas.
The BT is definitely up there with the other bigger 4by's, very capable.

Ah Mate! I should have called you MolongMick. I was up there on Saturday too. Though i was on the other side of the valley in the Gardens Of Stone NP.
And yes the BT is great offroad. I got delayed behind a Land Rover group, and everyone had to get winched up a little rock ledge, it took forever. They kindly waited around to winch me up too, but rear diff lock in and a bit of right foot and i was up easy as. Should have seen their faces, priceless!

The area is great for 4 wheel driving. The diff lock is unbelievable, pretty much allowed me to climb over anything.
There must have been a few landrovers in the area, we had some issues with one of them as well (the one in our group) had many problems climbing some of the tracks.
Will need to organise a day out. I will be doing Dingo Dell next week if you're interested.

I did the Dingo Dell area a few months back when i tracked from Wombeyan Caves to Jenolan Caves (the back way). Like you said the area i great for 4wd exploring.

He is still going, almost had a roll over, but came out okay. His car was very smelly by the end of the day.

I'm in for that. Lithgow is about 2.5 hours from me, but I'm willing to travel a bit further.
