My weekend started on Friday when I took the Expanda into the Jayco dealership to have the new bed lid fitted. That job is done now. Saturday afternoon, I had a 6 cubic metre skip delivered, and then spent the rest of the day filling it with two trees (bottle brushes) I took out of the backyard as well as a whole heap of other stuff. I'm feeling completely exhausted.

Our daughter and son-in-law bought their first house, moved Thursday, so spent Friday and the weekend moving left overs that the carriers would not take, cleaning and patching walls in the rental home they moved from. Had the gurney going on the patio of the old and new house, did numerous trips to the tip and now find I have more stuff stored in my shed that does not belong to me.

And I am knackered. :faint:
That's what dads are for isn't it?

We fitted the clear windows - purchased from @crustt - thanks they're fantastic:clap2: Fitted the canister holder for coffee / tea / sugar. Made up a pole (and fishing rod) carrier for the front of the van and cut down and put the aero-mesh under the mattress ... Packed up and covered the van again to wait for the next trip! Did lay down on the mattress for a bit to get the camping feeling happening!!!!

Now with mine, I worked out that you can use the same remote with both lights. At least that way you would have some spares.
I actually used magnets to attach mine to the awning arms (siliconed some stainless to the awning arms) On my 17 I had normal 12v ones that look exactly the same as above but they were not R/C, so i just added a Remote control LED dimmer from Hong Kong for $6, worked great!!
Have fun!!

@expanda yeah really nice. even scottys motorbike was in the carpark that he donated.

Good stuff, we will have to get down there and check it out.

We spent so long in front of the box watching it being built but don't always have the opportunity to see them up close.

I am thinking of at some point when i can find the time to take the kids on a trip around all of the ones done in Melbourne!

Some of the rooms they delivered are great for ideas in the home.
I have taken on a couple of the ideas myself as I work on the renos in my own house.

Interesting, what ideas have you taken?

I also like house rules, we took the bed in the wall idea for one room.

On the block we like the rooms where the beds are sunk back into the cupboards and will use that on another room.

I also liked the soda water machine for the taps....

Ha ha....that bookcase is a one off...I have done it once and will never do it again.:faint2:
The idea I have taken on board is the same as you @expanda. Doing a timber wall of some sort in the bedroom as the bed end. I have been thinking of bringing the timber wall forward by about 500mm. Which will allow me to add in hidden draws and do a sunken look where the bed is slightly recessed into the wall.
