Great work xpandafan.if jayco get hold of this awning strip light,I might have to get royalities from the trend.nah just kidding.LOL. Pace.
Thanks mate. Thinking about what Jayco would charge for this option, Pace, I reckon the royalties would set you up nicely.
I know Santa probably reads everything on this forum; his sleigh JUST HAS to be an Expanda...but do you really reckon he's going to drop a 3" stainless exhaust down your chimney?

Hey X. Interesting thought with the tyre. To what advantage it is changing the bracket - other than to give more clearance under, just ease of access?
I presume the tyre will sit on top rather than under? (Although a winder could work if under)

Clearance mainly, without too much work and using what was there basically, still easy access to spare.
Welding done and finished off this morning.

That is one of the best mods i have seen on this site in ages X. That underslung spare wheel is a killer, i have been hung up on it a few times. Plus you can't get to the spare without removing the gas bottles when in the original position. A huge design flaw (on mine anyway).

Love the LED's too. Well done:smokin:

Thanks, MM. I was regularly scraping the driveway crossover at home and have a holiday site that's quite steep. Left as it was the Expanda would just dig in, hense also the axle under sling that's also booked. The way it was was almost as if designed to snag.

Saturday afternoon I took the family out for a spin on the beach, this time I went on at the opposite end which is closer to home. Going on was all good but coming off I took a wrong turn and the track got very narrow with alot of salt bush. I had to turn around and go back with the bush scraping down the side of the Paj, when we got off and pulled over to pump tyres up I could of cried seeing the scratches down the sides of my pajero. Sunday spent alot of time polishing out the scratches which were only in clear coat but some will need a buff to get out.

Next time I'll stick to where I know!!!!

Cheers.

Ouch!! Did you back out or did you manage to turn the car around in the bush?

Found a bit of a clearing to do a 3 point turn, no doubt where other cars have done the same!
You're one for adventure, Burnsy. I once drove a km along an old narrow timber railway embankment in my old Landcruiser to find a tunnel to somewhere exciting. Unfortunately a rock fall a year earlier blocked the track. Good practice reversing. Family white knuckled, my reputation shot for years to follow.

on another note, i put in some shelving in the wardrobe and made use of the area above the HWS by putting shelf in there too, minister is very pleased with me, let me give you the tip. will get some pics up this week. next is too relocate the safe (just funny that a safe is in a spot that everyone knows about, dont you think so).

Cheers Pace.

Hi Pace, swmbo just read your post over my shoulder. Looks like you've dropped me in it for another job. Will wait for pics. She wants a wine rack somewhere, too!

This weekend I rewired the tug, 6b&s to Anderson, from there with 6mm to socket for waeco, 6mm through relay for van fridge (from tug battery) took out small hotwire (no longer needed) and installed tekonsha p3. Interesting how dealer installed the haman reese, very ordinary soldering into harness but I changed all that with 6mm brake wire straight to plug.

Today very sore from laying on concrete and climbing in and out from under tug, getting dirt in my eyes from underneath and sore fingers from all that wire twisting but it was worth it....all good! Oh and all the scratches from the salt bush last weekend buffed out at panel beaters on Friday. Looking forward to this weekend, 2 nights away in van with 6 other families. :)

Cheers.
