Back to the window not opening and door business. What about a catch that loops over top of door from van, removable on both the for and van??? Just a thought, we have the same problem.

Okay getting mixed up here.

My post re the window switch was if you install a gas heater under a window.then you must install a interlock switch. That is regardless of model that is gas regs. I only posted that quote because I thought it might explain why the kitchen window got omitted?

As per the door, this appears fixed if the drawings are correct. The next few weeks will confirm it. For those that have an issue, my thoughts were to make a second wire hook to "double up" when the window is open?

The goods news for me is if the sink has been switched with oven SWMBO is okay with it. So either way it's a go for me.

I am planning to have a play with a few things later this week including window.. Have a couple of weeks off after ear op. Wait to my head stops feeling like someone just opened it up first. Was a nice and sunny day today so don't be rude just sat around did nothing. Been researching another tow vehicle.. Seems what we have best suits us if it was only a diesel.

Stove I think microwave be a pain if its moved.. its low enough as it is do not want the dinette behind it.

OK guys so I went to inspect my starcraft today before taking delivery next week just to check all my options were fitted etc.
The open door to window location is still the same. It looks like the window could open about 100mm before hitting the door. And the sink is switched with the stove, notice there is a glass/pespex splash guard on the side of the fridge panel. Reading lights are down the foot end of the bed. Also included here is a pic of the bike rack and extended drawbar because I don't think there are any pics of these yet that I've seen on here. You can see the difference in the drawbar compared to the one behind. Might help someone considering these options.

@halbster so did they tell you stove/sink swapped? What do you think? I worry about getting down to the microwave with the dinette there? Also you have to run a power cable up and under the overhead to put toaster etc on stove.
Pump sink tap gone as well so you have to use 12v water pump?

Drawbar in hindsight we could of done it and fitted it in the space. At the time we ordered we had not finished the gate section.

I bet you cannot wait to get it home :) Enjoy when it gets there? Any problems anything missing?

No they didn't tell us, found out from you guys. Doesn't really bother us and my wife prefers it as she was a bit worried about the stove right next to the bed, although do agree it will be a bit harder to use the microwave there because of the table, but yerrr, hopefully we don't need to use it much. I think I see what you mean about the power point, would probably be good to have one near the side of the fridge. Also never really noticed the pump tap you mentioned so I guess we won't miss it haha.

Hey mate get them to put a power point behind the stove. We had one on the Expanda, worked well for jugs toasters etc you just have to unplug to lift glass.

Don't worry too much about hand pump, they were a pretty ordinary quality

looks great Halbstar...ours is sitting at Halls Jayco Mildura waiting to be picked up, but we can't get there for a few weeks...I've asked for a few photos to be sent, so desperate to see if the stove/sink is moved around, but they haven't sent me any yet...given ours were probably in the same run, I suspect it might look likes yours...

Pretty poor they do not tell you the plan changed.. We used the microwave alot already, although only turned the stove on at Jayco to see if it worked :). We take along frozen stew's etc to re-heat from home.. Saves on take outs and also easier then preparing something.

We asked for a 240v on side of fridge and where told they could not with the larger fridge.. Although drifter panel etc there :)
They would not do one behind the stove as to close we where told,
Actually the one place I think I should of got a 240v was on the buffet.. could put toaster etc there. There is one under the coach I could run a extension. As I really should not do my own 240v cables ..
I also should of done outside light on other side :( Although played with a magnetic LED which worked well off pop top bracket :)

With the lights we sleep down that end as I have my CPAP hidden in cubby. Although switch around to watch TV.. I might take a run from the 12v light through overheads and put it down that end.

@MarkGroote you still have not picked it up yet :) I ask again for pics.

Splash back is great. They have moved the solar controller which is where I asked them to out the drifter panel?

Here is our Expanda with the GPO behind the stove, the lack of splash back was a pain on the expanda

Jimmy I think its if someone pushes you get it.. have a powerboard so no stress really for the power point.
When we asked for the spare on the rear they said they did not think they could so I showed them a 17.58 in SA so they moved ours.

@halbster your van looked very nice.. I still wonder if we should of gone the -3 and put the twins on the dinette.
I check the table feels secure and TV works.. Yes sticker ours is a different font they found what they had out the back and fixed it.

Good to see they have added a curtain to end of top bunk, that wasn't on the demos we saw.

What's that in the corner next to the HWS? Is it the brake away controller? Wonder how easy it will to move it ?

Halbaster check all the cupboard latches, unzip all the roof skirt flaps ask and make sure everything is explained and that you get it. Jayco are very good at fixing things and addressing problems.

Looking at this shot for April of a -3 back then there was no hand pump. Maybe they have deleted it on shower toilet models?
Who knows Jimmy.. I just think someone at Jayco might need to start calling people when they change a plan people sign up on.
Seems to happen often.. I remember someone on here rolling up to get a 16.67 and it had fiberglass front and rear as they changed it.

Why no hand pump? I'll be spewing if mine has no hand pump. It's very useful.

I dunno mate. But I have had nothing but bad luck with both our Jayco's and hand pumps. Although the last one lasted a bit.mi was going to replace it with a breha. But to be honest we hardly every used it, maybe that's why they stuffed up?

We camp at a place that has dam water through the taps. I plumb into it for showers and washing up, but us the hand pump to get to the good drinking water in the van's tanks. Very useful. Had the pump fail once, just took it apart to fix. Washer/plunger had come off.
