Under normal driving you don't notice a lot of difference. But when you are towing you can really feel the power of the 3.2ltr ( It awesome).

My dad has a PX Ranger for work and loves it! He does about 1000kms a week and reckons it is a good truck. The only thing he doesn't like is how bouncy he ride is, but I think most things that come from Dual Cab Land are similar. I think it would be an engineering nightmare to design something to handle 1000kg and be comfortable when unladen!

I've got the Old Man Emu suspension in my Bt50 and the ride is as smooth as a hot chocolate around the camp fire!!

Even my wife reckons it's as good as any car!!!

I would definitely look at a suspension upgrade, my factory suspension is less than desirable after 100000ks and a trip to the cape, although Ford tell me it's fine. Me thinks they might tell me otherwise now the warranty is over:o

Been looking at a Ranger or BT 50 to replace the VERY RELIABLE Grand Cherokee which is now 8 nearly 9 and has 230,000k on the clock, but need something to put the genny, fuel cans and hay in the back of and chuck a tinny on the roof, now I have a van and not a camper. That battery stuff is a worry, son inlaw just got a new BT50 so will see how it goes, like the look of the Ranger.

During my research on all the current twin cabs I did come across posts on other forums about bt50 battery probs, pretty sure they got on top of it so assume the ranger probs are similar. On a side note a friend bought a bt50 recently, was having various computer mishaps while driving and was told by dealer that you can't have anything else hanging from the key fob, he had a small very light medallion, not sure if that was just dealer talking crap or not.

Hey Cruza

Gadget man is probably cruising the streets as we speak :car:
Yep I was too !!

"Pichers" to follow! Been down the big smoke and back this morning and all I can say is "what a machine!" I am more than impressed by the power, picked up a trailer full of roof sheets for my latest job and flew back up Greenmount hill like I was heading down hill, the Old PK needed a run up and still that wouldn't guarantee holding 80ks up the hill, had to back off in the PX as I was going to fast and meanwhile the fuel economy gauge was reading average 11.3 for the trip. Picked up some supafit seat covers while I was down there and a peace offering for the missus of an iRobot Roomba vacuum cleaner (Geez I'm a good Husband) Roof racks this afternoon and then book into the Autoelecs for the Brake controller next week (scruffed the Tekonsha P2 out of the PK before trading ) order Sand grabba mats and find a dash mat somewhere then that will do for a while

Hope the wind doesn't change. You might never get that smile off your face! :)
