I have just swapped the coopers for Wranglers on the Ranger, had an issue with 2 sets to AT3s all scolloping out on the front, then not wearing round again when rotated.

That because I live outside of the metro area and because I do a lot of dirt work and because I don't rotate and balance my tyres every 5000k, I don't sufficiently take care of my tyres so no warranty.

I've heard a few people say they have have trouble with AT3's on other forums, Ive had a set of ST Maxx's and then 2 sets of STT's on my last 3 utes and they have been good as gold but they are a very aggressive tyre also have a set of CS4 Tourers on my wife's Xtrail and had no problems with them either

Hi Grant,
Good to see another Ranger, I have had mine for 6 months and love it. Tows our 14.44-4 outback really well, overtaking struggling Prado's and Hiluxes with ease. Economy is good, getting around 13 l/100 towing. Never had any of the electrics problems others have had and am about to install a second battery in the rear. Follow the Ford Body Builders guide and you won't have any issues adding after market electrical gear. Just need to wear out the tyres to get some good ones!
Cheers

Might glue a bit of carpet to it to make it look pretty next project is the slide out drawers in the tub

Nicely built! I have nearly finished building one that will be permanently mounted in the tub of my Ranger to complement the portable one I built at Christmas. I will be using the same CTEK. How do you find the CTEK?
Cheers
Nick

Well I'll be buggered I went to set up the wire to the 12 pin plug and found that the plug is factory wired to all 12 pins so might run a dedicated Anderson plug to the fridge from the flux capacitor box now

Ranger owners out there.

I'm considering changing to an XLT Dual Cab Ranger as we want to go from our 17.56-2 Expanda to a 21.65-3 OB Silverline. Tare is approx 2600, ATM approx 3050.

The Ranger would seem a good choice to tow this? Would current owners agree? What sort of fuel consumption towing would be about right - 14?

On fuel, what do you get driving without towing?

Thanks.

Hey Bank of Dad
we ordered a 21-65-1 OB silverline due in Sept
Our new ranger does about 8 / 9 litres per 100 km. When towing our van (18:57-6 expanda) does about 16 / 17 / 18 litres per 100 km according to the dash display. But it is a excellent tow vechicle with some great features which makes towing heaps easier. Like holding its revs beween gears changes and no riding the clutch it builds the revs up itself plus holds the brake on until you touch the accelerator NO roll back.

Very Happy with my Ranger too Last trip towing my 16:49 we fuelled up 4 times over the 10 days and got 12.9, 16.6, 12.8 and 15.2 as you can see by my fuelly signature I am currently sitting on and average of 13/100km plenty of Power and comfort
A Mate messaged me a pic a couple of days back of his dash with his reading 7.8/100 he was pretty happy with that
