Kenshi's 16.49.1B Outback

Spent the day at the Melbourne Caravan and Camping show. This was our first time at the show as we usually like to get away during long weekends.
I couldn't believe how many vans were at the Jayco stand. It was massive. We saw the new concept expanda sport (it was ok...but probably wouldn't suit us) and the new fifth wheeler (with built in wine cooler if you don't mind)

Spent a fair bit of time in the main pavilion collecting a mass of paraphernalia on places to visit in NT and outback QLD in preparation for our 2015 trip. Can't wait for that one.

All in all it was a great day but it has left me somewhat impatient for our delivery.

Less than two months to go now....

Just got the call from Jayco and we are booked in for handover THIS SATURDAY!!!

I might actually head down to jayco and ask if I can have a look.
Cant wait. Might take the missus away for shakedown the following weekend.

Gonna try for the Grampiana I think Chartrock and yeah, it is a little early...but I'm not complaining. LoL i have decided that I am not going tell the wife until the day when i suggest we go for a "drive". It's her birthday Monday so it might be a nice surprise.

Cant wait to get tinkering either!!'

The basket storage is absolutely worth doing.
My pantry has 3 rubbermaid medium size 'slide n stacks' you can get them from bunnings and Howards Storage World. They are the perfect fit both width and length in the 16.49-1 pantry.
On the right side under the wardrobe is an Elfa mesh basket on bottom slide. You can get them from some Howards Storage World, but I ordered mine online from www.thestorageonlineshop.com.au
I got the system 45 3 runner basket and the easy glide base mount runner for system 45 baskets.
Let me know how it all goes!
And get some pics of the wife's reaction when she finds out what's happening. Would love to be a fly on the wall for that surprise!

I am planning to try to film her reaction Will see how I go. Finding it very hard to kerb the excitement. Lol

Off to get the 12 pin plug re-wire done to the Territory plus a set of HD roof racks. We borrow a hobie kayak often on camping trips and would like to be able to carry it on our own tug.

Well tomorrow is the big day! I have the cheque ready and will be surprising the wife at 2pm.
Will try and get pics up when I can. Gonna camp out in the back yard tomorrow night I reckon.
