So close ...... and yet so far. The handover will be just cruel. Better now than in 12.1 months I suppose. How did your BEF end up?

Yes handover wont be the same now...

No luck on the BEF so far - Jayco locally have no idea, and I even tried ringing H/O in Melbourne about it and got fobbed off :frusty:

Well bad news - apparently the air-con in our van has crapped itself, and the whole unit has to be replaced.... Short story is we cant take it home this weekend now... :(

We are still going in to do the handover thing on Saturday, as it's the only time we have to do it, but wont be able to take the van home with us at the end.... They are hoping to have the new air-con up here next week sometime.

So disappointed right now..... :(

I would be spewing, that is just bad QC I would be on to the head office and giving them a serve, should be able to get some freebies to help take away the pain, just the mention of reporting happenings on this site should cause some PR recovery from them.

Unfortunate and bad luck @Flossymk1but as said.... "Better now than later"
But look at it this way.... You get to do two handovers like we did :second:
The good thing about that is you get the opportunity to ask questions, or go over things that you might have forgotten (Due to the excitement on the first visit)

Well handover is complete! (minus taking the actual van home lol). It all went well, and we are very happy with the van!

Here are some more pics -

So now the LH door shots for those that were interested -

It doesn't interfere with the awning at all - there is actually a few cms gap there, although it doesn't show it well in these pics -

The dealer also installed a 2nd gas bayonet for us at the rear of the van -

Very glad we went with the full fridge/freezer -

Re the waterproof bed end cover, they are still working out how they are going to put that on - apparently the question is being asked at dealers all over the country, so if Jayco H/O weren't aware of the issue before, they certainly are now!

Thanks @davemc and yes was sad to go home without her.... But the good news is the new air-con is apparently already in transit, so we shouldn't have to wait too long until we can bring her home :)

So now the LH door shots for those that were interested -

The simplicity of what those door photos appear to show belies the horribly complex and engineering marvel that is required to hang to the door the other way. And an open sink window and open caravan door ... all at the same time. Thats not supposed to happen.

Great pics and very very nice van ... (and Im not just saying that because it pretty much identical to mine ... truly). All joke aside, they are a very neat looking van. I still can't process that fact we have a washing machine in a caravan.

We umm'ed and arr'ed over the bigger fridge, but in the end decided we already have an Engel and for considerably less we could get another Engel to use just as a freezer ... which would also be less effected by extreme heat. I've convinced myself, and thats what counts.

What is the can dispenser looking apparatus in the freezer door. Those full width wardrobe drawers are a winner too.

I noticed on ours that the range hood exhaust doesn't line up with the wall vent .... so the range hood is effectively blowing straight onto the wall behind it. Turn on the range hood and see if you can feel the exhaust outside.

Lol @ door comment Crusty181! Yeah it seemed like a lot of fuss over nothing in the end didn't it?

Love that I have a washing machine too! It will definitely be put to good use - my 8 year old boy seems to attract dirt no matter where he is or what he is doing :p

Yes I understand your thoughts re not getting the freezer - it was a very expensive upgrade!

Didn't look too closely at the rangehood I must admit - just turned it on and off to make sure it worked.. Will have to check out the exhaust thing when we pick it up.

Re the 'can dispenser' in the freezer - I asked the lady what it was and she didn't know.. Seems a strange place to put a can dispenser doesn't it?? lol

Looks FABULOUS!!!!!
I was going to ask what that thing was in the freezer. It does look like a can dispenser, but in my house hold I think we'd use it as an ice block holder. (The ones that you buy in the plastic tubes).
I know what you mean by boys attracting dirt. My boys can't stay clean for 5 secs. I'm over it now.....if they don't care, then nor do I.
