Picked it up today!! Everything was perfect. 100 series cruiser pulled it so easy - like it wasn't there at all. Van was extremely stable and traveled well at a safe speed of 90kms but would be fine at 100kms). I was wondering how it would travel as I had the axle under slung. The ball weight was 245kg which surprised me as the brochure indicated a lot less. I am happy with a bit more weight on the ball as I think it helps keep it steady. The team at Jayco Baywater were awesome. All packed ready for its maiden trip this weekend (local trip down the peninsula) - we can't wait!!!

We collect our 20.63.1 OB next week. Im told our plated ball weight is 149kg which I thought was extraordinarily light. Although it will end up with a alum box on the front at some point so it a great thing for me, but it is less weight than our last 16.49.1 OB

Fist thing first...nice choice of van;)

Our 20.63-1OB has the slide out and a lot of extras and the max ball is 209kg

That max ball doesn't sound right you know. Make sure you get it sorted before they licence the van other wise it will cost extra at the transport department if you have to get the plate changed after, trust me we know all about this.

Between you and I, the 20.63.1 is obviously the better unit. Their a little precious around here, so we'll keep that to ourselves.

I got those figures via email but I was presuming that was the empty ball mass. Im visiting the van in the next few days, so ill check. We dropped the slide out to save weight, so it likely that being forward of the axels would have significant impact when removed.

I will do that. I plan I taking over a weight bridge, on the way to the factory after I collect it and before I load anything into it. Ill try the bathroom scale, stick, 2/3 pipe thing to check the ball weight ....... if I can find a diagram of that

Your not the only one dying for more photos. Im wandering down to visit ours on Monday.

We've copied your fabric colors ... if its anything like girls and dresses, i think that means we can never be seen in the same camp at the same time. Your first mission is to take a pic of the opened door square on. I need vindication and visual confirmation that it would interfer with the annex.

Lol @ the fabric colours! :p

Yeah I don't think I'm going to last until next weekend - might have to go in earlier to have a sneaky peek :)

And yes will definitely get more pics of the LH door!

Looking good @Flossymk1 that the same colours as ours inside..wise choice I say:clap2:

I too have that same hatch on the lower bunk, we store the aussie traveler in that space.

Van looks great!
Same colours, same hatches. Excellent choices all round ... Its like a mini mutual back slapp'in club forming in 3 of the 4 corners of the country. Shhhhhh, the non 20.63.1 have eyes and ears everywhere

There is always room for more in the 20.63-1 Family :becky: And welcome @Flossymk1 and you soon too @Crusty181 :clap2:

I wish I had the left hand entrance door though that's the only thing I would have changed.

@Crusty181 I couldn't get a good shot of the door as there is another van parked right next to mine, however I did get a shot of how far the door latch is from the awning arm if that helps -

The Fusion radio and drifter panel and TV bracket are all in right where I wanted them too -

Got a pic of the external access hatch - it's not centred with the windows above, which will bug me (and anyone else with OCD tendencies) for a while lol, but it's great to be able to access that under bunk space from outside the van :)

They did delete the under bunk drawer too which is great - and I also noticed that the drawers under the wardrobe are doubles, and not the set of 4 smaller ones? Doesn't bother me though - I actually prefer these ones!

I didn't get a proper pic of the rooftop hatches, but I'm very relieved that they are the correct ones! You can see one in this pic -

All in all we are very pleased with it, and are looking forward to getting it home!!
