There are a lot of other easier spots this is one of the hardest thats why I liked it and when we got there we had it to ourselves for 2 days It was magical and i felt like Robinson Crusoe :) Well kind of I had beer he didnt :) You need you own toilet and water But for the toilet I just used there bore water and rinsed out when we got fresh water at Carnarvon Then told the girls to flush as much as they wanted :) to make sure the toilet pump got a good cleanout of the salty stuff. I maybe should add some water additive to give it a cycle as well now im home think I might do that tomorrow.

Agree you are packed in like sardines. Peoples gives you a bit more space, especially at the back. We should have tried warroora while we had the swan. Now we are getting the 21, we wouldn't make it up that hill! ( even without a van I don't think the car would make it).
You will make it to 14 mile though

Just got to convince hubby. He's not to keen on free camping. ( he likes a shower n loo. my mum gave us her portaloo after her round oz trip a few years ago.....never used, but he's not convinced yet)
We are on the wait list for next year,so if we don't get in maybe that's an option.

I guarantee the kids will see more of nature at Woroora and it will be a holiday they will never forget for the rest of there life's. Our kids ask me weekly...When are we going back Dad.. Maybe do a couple of nights on the way home for a test run and see how you go.

Highly recommend New Beach as on overnight stop but there are some other good spots as well depending on how you go? Its a long Drive to Carnarvon.
Another Great spot is RedBluff near Quabba It has drop toilets ( no showers) but the toilets are very good) Swimming is not as good here but short drives get you to so,me great spots and the whales come in really close in season. But Warroora as a lot of fantastic sheltered Bays A kayak is a must :)

I will be heading back as much as possible did I mention the Serenity:) I have travelled around Oz and the Kimberley and the central coast are my favorite spots for different reasons. I am definately going back up to Kimberley next winter (Late April -May) With a stop somewhere around Ningaloo.
I am dead Keen to get back up to Mitchel plateau and Kalumburu area . The Main Gibb Rd is now ruined! To Bloody crowded!! Most areas now closed.

Agree @Stephen Galvin. New beach is nice as a stop over. Did that in 2010 on our way to coral bay. We either do home to carnarvon then coral bay or home, geraldton, coral bay, depending on when we can leave.
The only part of the gibb we did was out to home valley station from kununurra back in 2012. we only had a territory (not the awd) and were there for oct school hols. Hopefully go back and do the lot when we get long service leave.

Hi Guys sorry have been quiet been working on a new toy project and have been consumed with research :)

@james saunders You will love it...

Got some water pump issues It must be the smallest of air leaks somewhere. As what happens is the pump after a while will start to make a noise like no water in system noise. Only thing is it must be draining back into the tank? as no water leaking on the ground or maybe the tank has a leak itself from one of the fittings? I do know where they connected to the tank there is a heap of sika and it looks to have come loose but I wouldn't think this would cause the issue unless its due to the system loosing pressure? I guess this could be it. Also when the hand pump has been used and the water is up to the spout when you turn any other tap on the hand pump spurts out about a tablespoon of water? got know idea where to start on this one??

Anyway hope all have been well and having fun.

Pull the fittings off the pump and give them and pump a flush, probably a bit of crap, drill swirl etc is caught in things. Also check the pipe ends if they have a lot of scruffing just trim them back.....................thats a start anyway.............always try one bit at a time don't do a heap of things at once or you will never know.................handy if your pump is outside like mine.
You could just put a non return valve either side of the pump......

Ok Picked the McDick Hitch 3.5t up Sat Night $425 in Perth. Very solid a neat looking hitch. Easy to fit. Its a fair bit heavier than the Alko though but when you look at it you will see why. I am very impressed with the build on this and what you got with it. Basically everything you see is included . Plus you get a couple of other bits if you have different setups. also a plastic yellow magnetic guide if you have a reversing camera on the back .This is one solid hitch and a vast improvement on the Alkco I had. If anyone wants an Alko with a locking device let me know. Maybe good for another trailer ?

Hi there, Just had a look at your photos from up north. Awesome trip. Just wondering now after your trip whether the $425 was still a good decision for the McHitch. We take delivery of our 21.64 in Feb and towing vehicle is Isuzu MUX so just trying to the best/safest towing option and these seem to be very popular. Can I ask you where you got it from also? Side note, your mutt Marley and my mutt Roscoe look like twins (brown Labradoodle) also well caravan travelled dog. Thanks for your help.

Well its really solid and performed faultlessly. If you get one just put a bit of grease on the pin end as It doest start to rust ( meant to be stainless) A coating has kept any rust away now. Other than that perfect. And it has been easy for me to back up to on my own only have to get close and get out once usually to line it up then just back onto it. Very easy.

Been A while again I know. Not very sociable of me lately:( been a bit of stuff on and im cutting back on social media well trying to :)

Well went to try a few things out before we go away again and well NO GAS is coming through to stove or fridge . Its flowing with hardly any pressure from bottom of regulator . So pulled the spring out and the plastic spring stopper has been pushed back in so super glued it back in place to test and no good. Checked the lines under the van and there's stuff all gas coming through so looks like a new regulator is needed. Off to the Rockingham RV Centre on Monday as getting this fixed and the leaking hand pump and stove light fixed under warranty.

I hope all have a great Xmas And spend plenty of time with there loved ones.
