Hey CD are you happy with the Narva spot lights, there the ones I'm looking at too.

Thanks

Christian
Yes @Stone Stomper value for money I'm very pleased they dont reflect back off signs like the hellas on the Cruiser on country roads.

They haven't come loose and they have a good size base for the light to be mounted. @Millsy has the hid version on his BT

The UHF antenna should hold up well, I have the elevated feed style on the Ranger and broke 2 of the fibreglass tops on the corrogations up north, that thicker style fibreglass should absorb the shock better.

Looking great @cruza driver !!!

You are certainly getting some usage out of it :).

What type of shocks are they? I read from the picture they are a foam cell?

Need to do mine in the pathfinder so interested what you have done!

I was going to go with some pedders as I have had good experience with them in the past but the tough dogs look good!

Thanks Millsy
I haven't done many k's yet so can't really comment, I presume you got the H/D springs for winch and steel bar with foam cells? (without looking at your thread :) )

Yeah mate HD springs and foam cells.

I see your BT stubby holder has been allocated the same job as mine!!

You mean less clips? Gotta be happy with more screws. It is so easy to break a clip or two.
Yes @Brad both clipped and screwed just need to make sure you don't try to remove a panel when its screwed not clipped :)

Cheers @crackacoldie
I had the same experience on the Cruiser the spring and base on the feed style seem a bit to rigid for the fibreglass tops.
Plus this new fibreglass aerial reminds me of my 6 foot fibreglass aerial I had on my B&S Commodore ute :D I still have that aerial though just not that ute...........ahh the good old days :)

Hey Cruza, Off topic, wondering what you did with the old tyres?

RACV man told my wife we need a new tyre after driving over a large bolt/screw. Anyway I only need one but no harm in asking.

Ok the reverse camera went in yesterday and with so many different options to choose from with different configurations I thought the best way was to keep it simple. I chose a 3.5'' monitor that mounts on the rhs corner of the dash and a bullet camera mounted above the number plate.

I had the option of a rear vision mirror monitor but the GT BT's have an auto dimming mirror which I quite like and wanted to keep. Power for he camera is sourced from the reverse wiring in the factory trailer plug as you can't tap into the reverse wiring directly without wiring up a relay. The computer doesn't like that.

Thoughts so far are I'm very impressed with the quality of the monitor and the extra vision I now have especially after doing the suspension lift. At night it works very well too.

The monitor has a little lip over the top to help with any sun glare on the screen

And the camera location.

I have wired my camera using a tapping from the reverse lights as the trigger to bring up reverse on the screen. I thought I read in Millsy's post that he was of the opinion the reverse output came from a relay and not the BCM. I would hate to stuff up the bcm.

Looks good CD, when we put Dad's in in his Navara we found pointing the camera down slightly so there was less sky gave less darkness on the landscape because the sky is over exposing the camera.
Thanks for the tip @Stone Stomper, I'll do that :thumb:
Nice CD.
Is there any intention to use the monitor for a caravan camera also?
No I don't think so @Brad not at this stage.

Your probably right @maccayak plus there is no way a blown BCM would be good.

I haven't tried it yet @bigman0510, but with the lift I will now have to use the drop hitch so I'm not to sure. I still have a bit of room to angle the camera down.

I remember watching you hook your 17 upto the Triton at Grannys Flat last year and I thought "How easy was that" :D
