I fired up my Echo saw (that I've "borrowed" from my Dad, he'll never use it again) thats over 20 years old last weekend for the first time in maybe 5 years.
Tipped out the old fuel and put some fresh stuff in and it fired up after maybe 5 pulls.

Gave the chain a quick file just to help it out and got through the big limbs that had fallen onto my garage without any problems.
I might even treat it to a service and a new chain now too:D

Is that saw the same one from May last year ?........It'still looks new, I wish my old Shindawa looked like that, it was on it's second chain by then.........it's in retirement now, only fired up for special events.
Yes mate same saw. I do look after them well I think. That is a load on Saturday I cut. Did another today and cutting another tomorrow. The woodshed is looking a little healthier now.

My old Dolmar used to eat kindling like that, @17triton , it was an awesome beast, not to be used for fencing though unless wearing a good quality helmet with para medics handy........tried to bite me on many occasions, great saw but was for tree dropping.

My old Jonsered saw started to have a few probe. Got this today for $130 delivered 58cc 20" bar. Tried it out today and goes fantastic, we will see for how long. So far pretty impressed. Cuts and runs as good as my dads Sthil.

I bought a 72cc 24" Baumr ag saw a few years ago. It was alright but started leaking bar oil real bad and ended up not using it. I hope you have more luck.

I've decided that when I build my new shed, the Shindaiwa will be scrubbed up and mounted on the wall along with my fencing gear in a display of times past.................won't need them on the beach.......:D
