@dagree what is that airbag set up costing ya? I'd love bags under this one too, just curious?

Peter,

Costing $1,400 to supply HD 30mm Lift kit (Lovell's springs and shocks) complete with coil-rite poly airbags, supply only @Peter Black .
Verbal quote for the bags only was $299 + approx $160 to fit if done by them selves.

Cheers,
David

Love the Prado. Best all round tug in my opinion. I have exact same. Getting airbags fitted soon. I got sat nav and DVD installed last year, very useful as I have two girls under 5 who are hard to keep occupied/content on long drives. I want to replace my standard rims with a set of matt black 17 inchers from American Racing and Cooper or Mickey Thompsons but I have to convince the treasurer (wife) first. Have fun!

Ooooooooh sounds smick @Simon....

We put on lay-buy two android 7" tablets for our two eldest yesterday, so they can have movies and games... we'll miss the roof DVD of the old girl though! @dagree we might look at doing a similar thing I reckon. 30mm would have her looking pretty tough! Especially with big mickeys!

Wanted to go 50mm lift but 40 is the limit otherwise I'll be parking outside and walking to work instead of getting under cover @Peter Black !!!!!

Estimating to get 40-50mm over what it is now allowing for sag in the old springs/shockies. OHHHH love the Mickey's had them on the previous 100 series and will definately get them for the Prado when the Bridgie's run low ;)

Not my fault @Peter Black ... You already had a list long before I said anything but I know what you mean about WW3 with the "Boss" :D

But to my defense I used the excuse that WE need the new suspension due to extra weight of the new van and not being able to use the WDH bars with it :0

Haha nice work @dagree!

@Simon do you mostly use the sat nav on long trips or in cities etc? We had sat Nav in the grande, even bought a new CD update in 2012 for it.. but never really used it. Tried once in Sydney, when we actually needed it, but it couldn't find a satelite . Since then we just use our smart phones if we need help.

@Peter Black - I use it every now and then mainly while driving to find short cuts in traffic and the odd trip where I need clear directions not the treasurer tell me to go left when she meant right. I also use it in combo with my DVD player as the head unit runs a DVD and plays it on the read units with head phones, while I run music from iPhone up front. It also has a quick menu with short cuts which you can hit one button and call someone from the main screen, no stuffing around getting into phone while driving.

iPhone works well but gps is not that accurate or quick I have found. Having said that I run an iPad with Hema maps on a cradle when I go off road, for some reason the iPad is more accurate, don't know why. If you like using your iPhone check out this website, has many cradle options to choose from that are strong.

New car looks the goods mate, love the colour, that's the same colour we were/are looking at.
Was talking with Toyota again today and they have given me average trade in price and figures on GXL.
Still can't accept $70k for GXL when most of their competitors are cheaper
