Well another year come and gone 10 yrs since my first pilgrimage and 9 years attended so far. A truly special place. another great race even for this HRT fan!! Yet to convince the wife to let me take up the Panda!!

sales guy from my Jayco dealer takes his Panda up most years, not sure if he went this year though I didn't ask when I was chatting to him on the Monday prior to the race
Yeah can`t wait as it will be my first time there! On race day anyway, dad drove us around the track 30 odd years ago.
I'll be there again with bells on! Here's my view from last year - corporate level of Rydges, free tickets were too hard to pass up, so the better half and I had an awesome day. Course car ride in the safety car (300C) as well as a behind the scenes tour of a heap of areas you wouldn't normally see. Pretty sweet day.
Dave Reynolds - he said he'd stand on the podium starkers if he won.....and I reckon he would!

@Smergen, I'd love to say yes I'll be there at Rydges, but the chances of snaring corporate tix two years running will be slim. I will say I'll definitely be at the mount for at least a couple of the days though.
Usually on the Thu or Fri I'll try and drag the team up for a "team meeting", on the Saturday the family goes up as the kids really enjoy it. I reckon the Sat is the best day out of the 4. Sunday usually is I and a couple of the boys (brother in law, father in law, Dad, mates and some kids) go up about 4.30 - 5am to grab a spot on the hill and the girls and the rest of the kids come up later.
We'll go after a couple of hours at about lunch and watch some on TV in the man cave, then return mid arvo to watch the finish. Most of the day someone stays to keep the "spot" we got up at stupid o'clock for.
Overall, it's an excellent weekend!

Did ten years in a row at mcphillamy in the bad (read good) old years..... 30 blokes, 30ft marquee, a case of beer per person per day.... They were the days..... It's been nine years since I've been back and thinking about taking the panda and my five year old this year, camp down the bottom somewhere.... I know the infield with power is always oversubscribed and someone needs to die before a spot will come up.... Definitely keen on meeting any others that are heading up
Have you got a site booked @Cootay? The paddock camps are fully booked out, not sure of any of the others. If you are there though, it seems we're getting a bit of a crew together... Nice... very nice.

I know that the paddock pretty much sells out prior to release thanks to their policy to offer the sites back to previous attendees before going public. Once the sites have been opened up online, they're snapped up within hours. I know that some other camp sites last a few more days before filling. Thankfully my "man in the know" was able to help us out, and I'll be making sure that we don't give up our allocation anytime soon in the years to come.
This year will be a reccy trip to see how well we'd do with getting the Panda in there, and from then on I reckon I might start taking a few rugrats too. Would be handy if my contact could snaffle a powered site... but I reckon I'm more chance of getting a drive on race day than that happening.

Awesome, another paddock basher... So you're taking your van? How confident you'll get it onto the sites? I've decided not to take it this year as I'm not sure what to expect from access and the like, so we'll grab the big tent this year and plenty of wood. Might see if I can hook you up for a visit as we've got the same van and I'd love to check out the set up.
No problems. I am confident we will get it in. We have 3 sites side by side and we are leaving our cars at a house in the infield so we should have room. As long as I can get my swing open rear bumper out then we should be all good.
