really - it is setup as a family van, and i am just doing another mod for us adults as we speak. when the front lid opens - i have mounted clips underside of the solid bed for all the de-flappers and ribs. easy access, stops them getting damaged in the underbed storage at the front, and gives more space. also 4 folding tables have been mounted under the rear fibre glass lid. pictures will be posted tomorrow. you can tell your 8 year old son that xbox live will be added in the rear of the van for the kids also next week........

vans getting its first service, upgrades and warranty repairs this sat. 2nd air con fitted to the rear, already have 120 watts of solar on the roof, getting another 4 x 160 watt panels fitted. not many warranty issues, just marks on the front door, bed converter in the rear not working (table to small) and some pvc water pipes falling off the van as they were not glued. adding bunk curtains in the rear as well.

just had the solar panels all fitted to the roof, will take a happy snap of it tomorrow and post it. i tested it today at jayco. i turned on the ouside fridge/freezer. 6 amps. turned on the inverter and 2 tvs, foxtel, all the lights inside. turned on all the media drive systems. the solar was producing 29amps and all going to the van and some still going to the battery. so we should not have any problems free camping with just the one battery. wife has the coffee machine that sucks 90amps for around 1 minute from the battery, which will be put back into the battery very quick. so the big test will be the long weekend coming up.

yes shade over the panel will reduce the output, but the panels run accross the front then from the front to the very back of the van. so there should always be some light hitting the panels somewhere.
