@Xpandafan even after only a few times of cooking on the BabyQ, I can't see myself going back to the normal bbq. The only problem is, I may need to buy a bigger one for home.
I have the Q220 good for both but is a little big to take away but it just goes in the back of the ute. My old 4 burner got thrown to the tip but I kept the jarrah trolley , put some slats down where the bottom of the old bbq was and works a treat.

@17triton I can see myself doing something similar...get rid of the old 4 burner and set up the Q more permanently.
And to think we were originally looking at a little bbq to take away...so glad we checked out the BabyQ and decided to buy it.

Got the high lid BabyQ for my birthday earlier in the year - total & great surprise from the family... Have since added the folding side tables for somewhere to put stuff whilst cooking, the small solid hot plate (breakfast plate?) & a roasting trivet. After using the smaller solid hot plate a couple of times I sort of regret not spending a bit more for the larger half grill sized one as I find it just a teeny bit small. I followed the clear seasoning instructions in the book which from memory were clean the grill plate well with soapy hot water, coat lightly with oil & heat on high for 10 min before the first use. I wire brush grill before & after each use & always heat it for 10 min before cooking. Pretty good results with everything so far & trust me, it's not the chef!
Oh yeah, others have probably said this but you should cook everything with the lid down.

Frosty.

Only problem with mine is fat dripping off the lid both front and back mainly from the roast pork. Gives the dog something to lick up! Anyone else find this?

Yep. Reckon they're like Jayco's.
Once the BabyQ won Mrs XF over though, the big one as easy. I got mine for $450 off eBay (was a dealer demo, used for two weeks) He chucked in brand new lid and knobs, so literally brand new. Mrs XF wants the old lid sandblasted and enameled in blue (to match tiles she's got for the bench I 've still got to finish.)

Here was Sunday's lunch. I use the large Turkish bread available from many delis as the base. It ends up a a crunchy thick base.

My family got me Baby Q for my birthday for use with the caravan. I've got a bayonet point on under the van and was looking at getting a hose to connect it.
I noticed that there is no regulator on the hoses advertised.
Is this because there is a regulator in the van already?
