Hi
We just purchased a Weber Baby Q for our caravaning adventures. We have never had a Weber before, so any tips or suggestions would be most appreciated.
Do we need to do anything before the first use?
What's the best way to clean it?
Thanks.

Best way to clean it is to get it piping hot then just use a BBQ brush and water. Cleans up very well. I think that there is a weber brand brush that you can buy but we just use a $3 bunnings one. Does the trick.
The weber cooks the best steak I have ever had. Great for oysters too.

As above. And follow the Weber directions for a start (re foil, trivet, etc) before you start experimenting.
Love my BabyQ so much I bought the company a FamilyQ for home as well.
BabyQ now lives in van and I'm building-in the FamilyQ at the moment with a bench, etc. and the s/steel cupboard I kept from my previous BBQ that went out in the hard rubbish collection.:)

Would have to agree there Kenshi I cant seem to replicate how well or how fast a steak cooks on the Weber on any other cooking apparatus .

A quick wipe with a brush and paper towel while still warm and then every 6 months or so it gets a birthday on the back lawn with some oven cleaner and the hose

Oven cleaner? Is it ok to use on these? Mine really needs a good clean but was a bit hesitant. If it is okay, I will use the oven cleaner then hit it with the Karcher!

Yep to clean we use the weber triangle brush, just dip it in water and scrub the plate while it is hot. For major cleans we use the Karcher also, brings it up nice and fat free. I usally wrap the burner in tin foil first to stop any stray water getting in and avoid spraying on the igniter.

I shout mine to birthday when it gets filthy with a trip in the car to the carwash and make a mess there. I grab a cheap can of degreaser let it soak in then hit it off. I remove the gas burner before I start ,comes out easy.

When I give ours the gernie treatment I take out the burner (1 screw holds it in) and remove the battery push button ignition. I then re assemble and spark it up to dry out!

Thanks @Burnsy I'll check out our construction and assess the likelihood of me getting it back together. ;)
