Spent the afternoon at Big Bend, near Swan Reach with my lad, nice day fishing and a fire, don't think it gets any better.

Came home to a sensational three course dinner, cooked by my Daughters, finished off with a homemade raspberry brownie, topped with ice cream and enclosed in a chocolate shell. They certainly cook better than their old man.

On the weekend we took the Starcraft out again. This time we headed up to Corowa for a couple of nights. The weekend was a get togetether for my wife and a few of her Uni friends including @peterg . We both stayed at the van park and another family had a cabin and another friend lives in Corowa. Saturday saw us tour a few of the wineries in the area and we finished the day off back at the caravan park cooking some fantastic home made pizzas in the wood fired pizza which the park manager lit for us earlier in the day. @peterg is a bit of a master with the pizzas and I think about 10-12 were made :hungry:. Sunday came around and the local landcare group had a tree planting organised in the reserve behind the park so the kids and I went and helped for a while before packing up and heading home. It was a great weekend with good friends and I think it could become a regular tradition.

Another weekend and another excuse to drag the van out. A few weeks ago I was talking to @cruza driver about heading to the Yarra Valley for a day trip and he suggested to bring the van over for the night so we decided to leave Saturday afternoon after sporting duties. Cruza took us out to tea at a pizza restaurant near his house on Saturday night.
On Sunday we were to get a guided tour of the area from Cruza. We headed to Warburton then onto Mt Donna Buang and up to rainforest walk. We then headed back to Warburton for a walk around the town and we found a cafe for a coffee. After that we headed to Noojee to check out the stunning trestle bridge. We continued our tradition of hotdogs cooked on the tailgate which we seem to do when we go touring around. Hotdogs consumed we then walked up and over the bridge and took some pics of this great bridge we then took the short drive into Noojee before a bit more touring and then it was coffee time again and we went to the Carriage Cafe at Seville which is a great spot to check out if you are in the area.
By this stage it was getting late on Sunday and we had to drive back to Ballarat so the van was hooked on and we said our goodbyes and headed home. Thanks again @cruza driver for showing us around your lovely part of Victoria. It was the first time I have been in the area and won't be the last as there is lots to see in the Valley.
