Having spent last weekend and most of last week looking for a 2nd hand vehicle for our daughter to replace her 2004 Echo we settled on a 2008 Xtrail on Thursday. She needed a bit more space for two growing boys and wanted a tow bar to carry a few bikes. Mucked around Friday swapping rego's and personalised plates between vehicles and she put it on Gumtree Friday night. First call to her 6:30 this morning but the car was at our place so they were directed to me. Came down from West Brisbane around 11:30 and after a look over it, a 10 minute test drive we shook hands on the sale for the full asking price. :bounce:

I have never had such an easy sale of a car, advertised one night and sold before lunch the next day. Our daughter was not involved at all but was very happy that it went well. She has owned it since new and it only had 126K on it, serviced regularly and never pranged. I'm just glad it is over now and I can get back to my own problems.:bolt:

We went to the show as well Dave and I went for a ride in this mux. 45degrees is a crazy angle in a car I can tell you! Didn't get out of the show scott free as we ordered an Australia Wide Annexe for the new van.
Us too mate Sarah likes the Mux we still need to go for a test drive not up and down :)
Cool or what :)
Still working out if we do 6 months trip later this year or not. If so not sure we take the Disco :)

Annex ours worked well up at Ballarat for a few weeks.having vinyl down the lower half makes cleaning easier.

Was a good day weather up and down but thats Melbourne for ya

Started planning our trip to Melbourne beginning in 2 weeks - visiting son, daughter-in-law and George (grandson) for his first birthday.
Route so far - Gosford to Tumbarumba, then Beechworth, then Melbourne approx. 10 days (son assures me there is plenty of room in his street to safely park van - will be staying in their home for the 10 days). Then travel part of the Great Ocean road and stop?? somewhere. Next head up through Ballarat, Bendigo and points north to back home. Staying more than one night in each place.
Would be away longer than 2-3 weeks, but need to visit mother-in-law in high care in Gosford.
Retirement is starting to feel rather good!

Removed Microwave as We haven't used it for over 2 years, and fitted slide out basket for more pantry space.

Just have to sort out a door, was thinking a clear perplex modern look, might be easier than trying to match the timber look alike.
