Nice Tug Bigman! Needs the bulbar to make it look like a 4wd :)

Yeah I know! ARB have only started making them a month ago, the 2012 spec changed slightly to the old one. And apparently ARB are selling 20 roof racks a day but only making about 8-9 a day, So I have to wait until Sep for the bullbar and its unknown for the roofracks and side rails/steps.

I put the wood off for another week although I'll be going cold if I put it off again!!!

That was my problem, I was getting cold, but also I'm having an operation on my elbow and needed the wood, as I won't be doing much for a couple of weeks.

Although we haven't been away in our van for quite a while, this is still something that should have been done at the factory.
I got sick of looking at them as soon as you open the door. Plus the kids always seem to kick them when sitting at the table, so I moved them.
Just gotta get a blanking plate in the same colour to cover the holes.

Put them up with the other switches and monitor.

I hit a couple of snags along the way.
The biggest one was that the holes in both the bottom plate of that small cabinet and the benchtop didn't appear to line up.
With no way of seeing in there it was just a matter of feeding in a wire coathanger and probing around until it went through both holes.

The battery switch is only 2 wires so I just soldered and extended them from the seat base.
The HWS switch has 5 wires attached but as luck would have it they are the same 5 colours as 5 core trailer flex cable.
A simple join-the-colours with solder exercise and some right angle terminals due to limited clearance behind new switch position and all good.

The only other drama is the box under the seat where the wires run into also has the SETEC unit in there and was sealed shut.
I ended up cutting the top of the box off to gain access. I'll put another top on soon.

They certainly dont put them in a favourable spots hey? I did this to mine as i couldnt be arsed mooving them and blanking the holes.

Yeah, same here, where did you get them from and can you get your finger in behind to turn on?

Yes you can get your finger behind thats the idea, acessable but not easily bumped. i made them up out of Lexcen, not the easiest to bend.
