Took Mrs DRW and youngest son for a little drive around France, Italy and Spain just for fun, we returned yesterday so I guess it fits the weekend thread, I watched this being built on a discovery show, and now have actually driven over it lol
One of the most incredible bridges ever built by us ginger beers!
Welcomed a new grand daughter to the family! It was Friday but close enough!

Had a steel tray slapped up by a local metal fabricator and put it on the front of the van. Wanted it for a spot to put all the wet hoses and stuff, instead of putting them in the front boot. Fits like a glove. Really happy with it!
Gave him a template for the draw bar and he he bent up this sheet of slotted steel.
Couple of hex screws and she's in!

Somehow I was registered to do another "fun" run. This one wasn't too bad, only 5km and a bit of food dye for good measure.
.... not as incredible as the ginger beers Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Apparently that was designed by ginger beers and put together on a Friday by Jayco!
Sounds like our engineers..... They call the paperwork "As Constructed" drawings!
Spent the weekend at Hervey Bay at Fraser Lodge. Best family park in HB I reckon but there's been an owner change which seems to have triggered an attitude shift in the staff compared to our last visit.
Anyway, still a relaxing couple of days with the fam which included the obligatory trip to my fav burger joint :hungry:

A bit of a non-descript weekend, we thought we'd go and investigate a couple of potential free camping spots not too far down the road. Plus, after the Rock Truck got filthy commuting in the rain last week, I had to get it "real" dirty so it gave me the impetus to wash it...
Any guesses as to where we went?
Caught a glimpse of this guy as he was moving up a tree. #3 thought it was awesome. #1 & #2 were like "Dad, we saw them at the zoo last week?"...
Teaching Mrs Smerg's the finer arts of 4WDing. Rule #1, driver doesn't get out... (well, I got away with it this time...)
All clean after a bath!
And then refreshing ale in the van, because... well... why not?
