Me and the wife had the 3 kids go to the auntys farm for the wkend and we went to the big4 capricorn palms holiday village in yeppoon to check it out. We had to a cabin, we got about a month to pick up.there are heaps of sites and lots of areas for the kids to play. We so will be back when we get the van.

Sure did @cruza driver stayed in a pub in Casino, left at 6:30am this morning in the fog over the ranges, absolutely sensational scenery in that part of the world, most of the roads through the border ranges we used didn's allow caravans either.

Nice mate, what is the bike laws up there now for groups travelling together is there a set number?
Or is it not really enforced, just curious?

Good question, I really think the coppers are pretty good, they can tell a 1% mob from a bunch of oldies lol, usually there would be 10 - 15 or more of us, but knowing this was through the windy bits and us 5 are crazy the others left us with it. and thankfully we didn't see one police car all weekend either ;)

Ran a 30A circuit for the ESC from the engine bay of the Prado to the rear in anticipation of the arrival of the Expanda. Also ran a spare 6mm twin.

Today I also was midly successful in stopping my wife from throwing out my 'just in case' items from the garage, you know half tins of paint, half tubes of silicon etc

Ah - I do miss my biking days...............

I'm getting worse as I get older, just need to finish the house, get the holiday out of the way, maybe January as its my 60th and ask permission (tell) to but a new bike. Have been researching the new BMW R1200GS and I believe I need one!! One of the guys brought along his new Triumph Tiger Explorer and recons for the first time he has a bike with more power than he will ever use (1215cc), I so need to be like that hahahah

Hey @Billrw136 do you drink scotch? I have some JW Blue, and some Bell, and some Glen and some other stuff. I hate the stuff and people just keep buying it for me, I think it maybe in storage but if I can dig some out I will bring it along for you diehards

Some years ago now I went from a Kawasaki Z250 (my learner bike at age 39) to a Yamaha FJ1100 to Triumph Trophy 900 (one of the first of the new Triumphs) to a stuffed back = no more riding = first model 930 Porsche wide body - closest thing I have found to motorcycling on 4 wheels!
Funny - I hate heights, but love speed - have slowed down now with vague maturity!

930 turbo, my all time favourite car

have a look at this for a power plant, from a test on the Triumph Explorer bought out to try and take some sales off the new BMW, last year the BM R1200GS was voted the most popular bike in the world

On the road the engine provides perhaps the most linear power delivery in motorcycling history. Triumph claim a 121Nm torque peak at 6400rpm and 137hp (102kW) at 9000rpm with more than 100Nm of torque available from as low as 2500rpm; I believe them.

Today was the start of my weekend :) So hooked the expanda up and towed to Jayco Caravanland to get measured up for the ESC, then called into Northside Caravan Repairs on the way home to get the hot water issue sorted (An easy fix luckily....... I was looking in the wrong places for the non-return valve they fitted).
