A guy who makes them around Eaglehawk. John Taylor. This is an old one of his bikes. The new ones are awesome but well out of our schools budget.
well today I had another 3.5 kw solar system fitted to extened my 1.5 so I now have a 5 kw system giddy up no more power bills it will generate 18 kw they say 20 on average though the year we only use 9 kw every day so I should get a small check 80 dollars maybe mite have very small bill in winter cost 3300 pay it self off in 3 years I reckon I now have 7 panels over the van and 14 on house roof
wow !!!!!!! do u know the wattage of ur panels my old ones are 190 but my new ones are 250 8 190s 14 250s or what is the kw of ur system we are now with red energy tied in with the snowy riverWe use about 8kw per day, summer we produce upto 24 kW on 10 panels, cheap bills, signed up with momentom a tas co. Subsidised by the hydro electric system.
not good bro still mite be worth up grading if u can get to 5 kw that's good generation even at 8 cents the amount of power u make u mite run even ?????Up here in Queensland, if I were to upgrade our 2.2 kw system I would have my original contract ($0.50 / kw) cancelled and a new one drawn up and would be paid $0.08 / kw so there is no chance of me upgrading. Since installing around 2-3 years ago we got ahead by about $250 but power has gone up so much since that we are now starting to eat into our credit by nearly $100. They have just doubled our service charge as well.
take it with u or it gives u more cash for ur sale price if it stays ???????? should start a thread electricity saving it would be busy I thinkWe also use about 9 kw per day but if we are losing out at .50 cents per kw we would have to feed in a lot more than we do to profit at .08 cents per kw. It's even a factor whether we sell or extend the house.
Yes, that's what will happen if I upgrade my 2kW system here, lose old contract. New one would not be as severe as in Qld tho. We are breaking even for two out of 4 Qs and pay about $100 in others. Summer is worse because of AC costs.Up here in Queensland, if I were to upgrade our 2.2 kw system I would have my original contract ($0.50 / kw) cancelled and a new one drawn up and would be paid $0.08 / kw so there is no chance of me upgrading. Do you ever come over to the SA races? I am going to look at maybe heading over to the Vic 24 for a look.View attachment 25481 Here's ours from last year @crackacoldie in the primary section tho.
No, we only enter the SA races, 3 six hours and 1 twenty four at Murray Bridge. The kids love it and this year has been one of our best bunch of teenagers yet.
