They look great, but unfortunately no bull bar for us. She's been a city truck so far, not many bouncing bunny's in brissy so no need so far, might need to rethink though as we start traveling around more.

Hi all, on Friday night we went to the footy (Knights V Rabbits) and i think that Vic weather caught up with us....very cold and windy :D. Worked on Saturday and then did the fathers day thing on Sunday (love the things the kids get you). On Sunday afternoon i bought myself $13 tackle box so i could put my tools/repair items and some spares all in the one box for our van. There's not much i can't fix with this box!

Hi Greg,
Delivery of ours should be second week in October. I might have to look at booking in advance then, otherwise its going to be real funny watching me try and back this thing into a spot. When the van arrives my plan was to take it to the entertainment centre at Boondall and Practice in the car park with nothing around to bump into.
Is this your first van also?
Jas

Hi Jas,
no not my first van, had a few over the years, good idea to go somewhere without obstacles to practise, most van parks offer assistance to park and will advise you how to reverse so don't panic to much! love the Jayco though!

Cheers Greg

Any idea of the time frame for that - we're thinking of heading up for a few days in the coming school holidays.
Great little town, but only stopped briefly there to air up and down for the surrounding tracks
We drove in there and had a look around and there was someone camped in there with a tent set up. The sign said it will be opening soon but with no dates on it, maybe the sign hasn't been taken down yet. Its at the northern end of town and in a bit of a valley but I guess so is the whole town :D

The 1st campground at the northern end would be my pic though :thumb:

Have a good trip SD

Since joining we have used this forum for picking everyone else's brains so now I thought I'd give something back.
Here's what we did to the van on the weekend.....IMG_1069.JPGIMG_1070.JPG
A wooden chopping board to protect stove top and give extra prep area.
A splashback to stop water from sink splashing on couch.

Thanks Greg,
How did you find the bed? some members don't seem so happy with the innerspring straight out of the factory.

Jas

The beds are quiet firm, I don't mind that though, my partner is not so sure, guess we will end up with some eggshell foam or something similar,

Cheers Greg and Deb

Ha I got a confession guys, I can't claim all the credit, I was on a bullet train and went to the loo and they had something simalar ( but much neater) covering the emergency button. It was just after the Xmas hols where my daughter had kept bumping the switches on. So on my return I drew them up and got one of the guys at our workshop to help me bend them up. You can see from the photos they don't really sit square until fastened to the board. I will speak with him and see if he wants to make some more up and advise.

Hi all sorry for the late reply. I have been pretty busy and o/s twice since then. We just don't have time but Burnsey has kindly offered to look at getting this done for those that are interested.

Found out I am no good at backing expanda up our driveway, lots more practice required. Had a sleep in the new van on Saturday night with one of my sons who was keen as mustard to have a sleep in it.

Last weekend I met up with Burnsy at a Geelong caravan park, it was great to meet you mate :thumb:
I was on my way back from a motorbike ride at Angelsea riding with 4 mates. The weather and track conditions were perfect.

This weekend - weather permitting, is about dust proofing our van on the underside. Also looking at protecting our shockies better and baby proofing our 13mth olds bed end. Also have to put a new battery in the Prado as my main start battery failed yesterday when leaving work - thank god for dual battery systems. :)

I have got my LED lighting from China, quicker than getting stuff from the city! Going to install outside of van as others have done.
