Thanks @Chooky. Great mods and great advise. Have you got any pics under your shelves we can look at. Was thinking of giving this a go and not sure how to hold the planks up.

Ok so had a busy couple of breaks from work and got a few more Mods done to prepare for the big trip, fitted the USB chargers to both bunks and replaced the Cig socket with a USB & Cig socket combo up the front of the van, Wifey also made all the vinyl covers for the outside vents to keep the dust out on the dirt roads and also made up some clear plastic bed end covers that Velcro onto the existing privacy screens. I also made up the spare wheel mount and relocated the spare under the rear of the van using a old ute spare wheel winder, next on the list was the doors for the air con under the van which was another idea from the forum, paint doesn't look so good because it's actually underbody sealer/sound deadner stuff to protect the ply a bit more, also fitted our new awning to the roof rack of the Patrol. Now I'm sitting back having a Beer or 3 :very_drunk:

Hey @Chooky how are those vinyl covers attached to your vents? Velcro? They look smicko. We have to figure something out for when storing ours to keep those bloody hornets out filling every orifice up with mud!!

Yeh @navmatt just bought white vinyl and a packet of stick and sew Velcro, one side sewn onto the vinyl and the other stuck on the van. Didn't like the look of the Velcro stuck on the van at first but doesn't bother me now, kinda blends in.

A well earned beer there. you have been busy. Ive had the same ideas for the usb and rear tyre holder, good to see what it looks like. I take it your zircon is not roof mounted for those vent holes. The vinyl looks awesome. Are you going to pressurise the cabin area to keep dust out, i saw a link ages ago where they put a blower fan behind the fridge vent and ducted into cabin to pressurise.

oh how did you go running the wires to the bunk and where did you take the power from?
Mr Chooky hard at work on night shift tonight.... Well at work lol... He has bought a couple of large computer fans to put behind the fridge @seanparky. That's one of the next jobs on the list, seems to be slowly getting things crossed off...
He tapped into the outside 12v plug power that's in the wardrobe for those USB plugs...:)
