just started a few little things to tweek the van.
Put an acrylic shelf up above the new bench to house iPods, or whatever I can find to put there.
Sunblock curtain sewn behind the door curtain (as found it was only thermal material) and placed a piece over the vent above the door. Now the van is very dark inside, and no more light hitting me in the eyes as I try to sleep.
Cushion covers for the lounge and dinette. (Even though they were scotch guarded, with boys you can never have enough fabric protection.)
Two 'expandas downunder' stickers stuck. One on drawbar, one yet to be placed on bumper when we get the replacement.

Too hot to measure up for box on front. That's coming, and so is the spare to be relocated to the underneath at the back.
(Too hot to go outside to get pics. They will come when cooler)

I was in the aircon.....nice. Going to be 40 here today n tomorrow.
Need to get quotes on a box for the front of the van. Was hoping to get it done before i went back to work, but unfortunately time has crept up on me.....bummer.

(Ran out of material for other cushion, so will get more today.)
IMG_5759.JPG did the seat cushions, as no matter what you spray on them to protect them, it's never enough, so I always put covers on.. also, those bath mats protect the floor and are easy to shake all the sand out of. Plus it keeps your feet warm.........just in case you go somewhere and it turns cold. (got to have multi colours) Almost forgot, made a tablecloth for the table. (elastic seems to be featuring in everything in this van, but at least it keeps it in place.)
IMG_5760.JPG the bunnings suction acrylic shelf. Used the plastic disks that came with it, and it hasn't moved a bit. Also found these neoprene mats in the rip curl shop in torquay. Haven't seen them in perth so we got 2 for our big bench. Fits perfectly. Just need to cut out a notch for the powerpoint at the other end.

Somehow the sticker photo is too large to post.......go figure. Same phone used to take photo with.

Two little mods completed today, in preparation for coral bay on Friday.
First was the shelf in the front boot to house the rods underneath and a lot of other stuff up top

Second mod was to install the new tv for the kids

Unfortunately no. We went away in the van on the weekend of 2nd / 3rd may for the expandas meet up. Van went in for warrantee work on the 4th May......got it back about 2 weeks ago. (Yes, nearly 5 months). It wasn't that the van needed rebuilding, just that people got sick, van got stored in another shed, we were busy with media, fix it people forgot they had the van, we were busy with rallies, media, politicians, etc. still waiting on the ESC to be fixed and new awning as the old one had a tiny hole in it.
Want to get a box on the front to house engle on one side, BBQ or generator on the other, along with other bits n pieces.

Forgot to say @formyfamily , am getting the spare relocated to the back as jayco pranged the van and dented the bumper. Not hugely, but enough for me to say either cover it with the spare, or give me a new bumper. It will be the jayco spare holder, whatever that looks like, and won't be a drop down as it just fits.

After doing heaps of mods to the house, finally got around to the van.
Well, the "fix it" guys did really.
The spare now lives on the rear of the van. Perfect fit, looks like it was always meant to be there. Now just need to finalise the box drawings so it can be built and put on the front.

Hey @Smirke I'm after exactly the same wheel carrier for my 21. Can I get some details of who supplied it for you ??

@Bellbirdweb I believe it is a jayco spare tyre holder. They "fix it" guys welded it on to our bumper where we had the dent. (Doesn't move a mm) very happy with it indeed. The tyre only just goes below the bumper (actually a lot less than the picture shows). Our drawbar looks HUGE now.

Great thanks, might give Jayco a call and see.

I've been wanting to get the box on the draw bar, but need to move the tyre first, so good to see one on the same model van as ours.

I know what you mean. Everyone else has a drop down style, but the guys said that we wouldn't need it, that we had enough room. I was a bit skeptical, but as you can see.....there's heaps of room. It actually looks like it was always meant to be there. They did a nice job of the plate too. And put a nice light next to it. They tied the light wires in with all the other wires so you don't notice it. (And it lets us put a cover on the tyre - Kung fu panda one I think we will get)

Hi @Smirke, I have done the same thing with my van. I have the touring Moodle though. Can't understand why Jayco don't do that from the factory. I somewhat had no choice, the van sat that low there was only 115mm clearance from the road to the spare wheel bracket when the spare wheel was in the draw bar. Dragged it a few times. Best mod I have done is setting up the spare wheel on the rear.
