If you look closely @bigcol you'll notice all mine are open, I find myself without the will power to collect Whisky, the burning question would always be "Hmmmm,I wonder what one that tastes like"?

when you have so many to choose from it makes for a daunting idea on just what to have

and you Sir @Capt. Gadget are to blame for my messy bar
went to get the opened ones out to take a photo, got sidetracked by a little bottle of Dalwhinnie - and now in trouble for drinking alone, at home during the day.......
so I had to shove everything back in before SWMBO got angry

try again soon I think
hehehehehehehe

Mine is Balvennie.

If I can't get that then Glen Morangie.

But my absolute favourite is Sheep Dip. Found it in a remote highland pub and tried it for fun. Never been able to find it since.

Store it carefully...in drawer in van and always let it settle for a couple of days before imbibing.

Currently have a bottle of Highland Park 12 open. Before that we had a Talisker Storm and Balvennie 12. Have also tried the Australian whiskies, Hellyers Road, Sullivan's Cove and a Starward.

We keep 2 Glencairn glasses in the van so we're always ready for a drink.

Nothing better than a good drink in good glasses while contemplating not being at home or work.

We use a couple of very good pewter wine glasses bought in Scandinavia some decades ago and have used them camping ever since. They are a bit bent but add to the experience and the contents always taste good....and they won't break!

Agree wholeheartedly. We keep the glasses in their original box to help prevent breakage. We do the same with a couple of, albeit cheaper, champagne glasses.

Slightly off topic, but our favourite nightcap is Glayva - a whisky liqueur from a blend of whiskies. Taken over ice.
Late FIL worked for White Horse, later Diagio and when he passed away, we found over 100 various bottles (from basic Red Label and other spirits, to limited edition collectables. ) Due to customs, we couldn't bring much back with us, so split most between his family still living in Scotland.
As for any suggestion to add Coke!......what a waste. Either neat, over ice, with a splash of water, or providing it's not an expensive bottle, then maybe with something like Canada Dry. Does taste good with Irn Bru........!

Haven't heard of that one.

Will check it out.

Do I need to mortgage the house or the panda?

Sheeeeeeeeeet. Checked It out and sounds good.

While doing that tried the Balvenie we've had for over 30 years and found Dan Murphy is selling it for $45,000 a bottle.

I can't believe it....but i will certainly enjoy the rest of the bottle and handle very carefully.
