Ahhh, the Winery Walkabout. I did three in a row a few years back. Great time. The last year, we decided that there was just too many people to actually try to taste wines, so at each stop, we heading straight for the sales counter, bought a bottle or two, and drank them in the gardens. needless to say after 12 or stops, it got messy.......Heading off towards Albury and will have a couple of wine filled days touring around Rutherglen for the Winery Walkabout. We have a small group of us heading off, 12 seater private bus hired..............my head hurts already!
Sorry for the late reply @DRW and yes the sandies are worse as you get closer to the water.@Deano is that out at Carlo point? if so how are the sand flies these days?
@mj 2 degrees is way too cold for us Qlders, good to see you looking after the mutts though lol
Yes @Soaring The crowds are getting bigger. We go every 2nd year and have racked up about 10 trips. We too employ your tactic of buying full bottles and drinking them on the lawns. Should be a good year this year with Paul Kelly and Pete Murray playing at one of the wineries.Ahhh, the Winery Walkabout. I did three in a row a few years back. Great time. We took our van into Sundown NP and there was no problems getting in, though there is a narrow bridge just at the entrance which needed a bit of care to cross but no big deal. See my trip report here. This is the bridge, kangaroo not included. Was planning on heading to sundown national park but learnt it might be a little difficult with the Van to get into the middle, girraween is booked out so bald rock national park it is just over the Nsw border ( hopefully there is room for us) and day trip into sundown.
Yeah thanks @chartrock i Looked at that camp site but wanted to head into burrows via the 4wd trackWe took our van into Sundown NP and there was no problems getting in, though there is a narrow bridge just at the entrance which needed a bit of care to cross but no big deal.
