Another great long week-end at Rainbow Beach. Plenty of Expandas in the park.
Cheers Deano

We had a great weekend as well, but no shorts and thongs for us. Mansfield and Bright were a tad too chilly for that.

Two deg when we awoke Sat morn

But as the sun made an appearance it slowly turned into a pleasant day.

Then spent Sat and Sun in Bright, a few people around but nothing like I expected.

One of our dogs is quite elderly so a powered site and this little beauty I picked up before the trip was a godsend for the 1.5 deg night.

Heading off towards Albury and will have a couple of wine filled days touring around Rutherglen for the Winery Walkabout. We have a small group of us heading off, 12 seater private bus hired..............my head hurts already!
Ahhh, the Winery Walkabout. I did three in a row a few years back. Great time. The last year, we decided that there was just too many people to actually try to taste wines, so at each stop, we heading straight for the sales counter, bought a bottle or two, and drank them in the gardens. needless to say after 12 or stops, it got messy.......o_O

@mj 2 degrees is way too cold for us Qlders, good to see you looking after the mutts though lol
Sorry for the late reply @DRW and yes the sandies are worse as you get closer to the water.
It was at Carlo Point.
Where we were last year camped, it was fine.
Cheers Deano

Yes @Soaring The crowds are getting bigger. We go every 2nd year and have racked up about 10 trips. We too employ your tactic of buying full bottles and drinking them on the lawns. Should be a good year this year with Paul Kelly and Pete Murray playing at one of the wineries.

With good friends living in Corowa we have done a fair few walkabout weekends, and hangovers lol. Love the port/muscat/tokay from up that way.

Was planning on heading to sundown national park but learnt it might be a little difficult with the Van to get into the middle, girraween is booked out so bald rock national park it is just over the Nsw border ( hopefully there is room for us) and day trip into sundown.

We took our van into Sundown NP and there was no problems getting in, though there is a narrow bridge just at the entrance which needed a bit of care to cross but no big deal. See my trip report here. This is the bridge, kangaroo not included. :D

Well I'll be, if it wasn't for this forum I would never have known there was a long weekend coming up, seriously! Anyway had a quick surf on the interwebthingy and bugger me everything is booked out, except Mudjimba so it looks like Mudjimba for us, might take the surf rod and see what I can find, cheers.
