Yeah tbh I don't mind the look of them without the bar, and if I hadn't already ordered one and bought a winch I might have been tempted to go without. But I must say ARB have done a great job with the new 200 bar. The bend raduis's and the tube diametre is larger.

Now for driving lights, thinking about a LED bar 1st?

:clap2: Very nice Jim, have you towed with it yet?

Nah not yet other than to drag the van out from one side and back it in the new shed. It idles up our side dirt drive (20 deg) with the expanda on the back!

Before I can tow I have to address the bloody hitch height difference, currently 150mm. :ambivalence:

200s are awesome. You won't even notice the van on the back.
  • Just make sure in summer that you have your foot on the brake properly at the lights with the A/C on, when it kicks in they lurch forward :)
  • We camped at Woody Head in January and when driving around the park you would start the car then only use the brake because idle drives the car around :)
  • Get used to climbing up and into the back - there is so much room you can't reach the gear packed up against the back seats :)
  • get used to your mates saying "it's too big", and "do you have a manhood problem". They're just jealous coz you have a 200 :)
  • 200s are shorter and narrower than a soccer mum's Kia Carnival, and shorter than a Commodore wagon. And guess what people - we still use the same size car parks and road space as anyone else! :)
  • people will get don't be rude off when they find out you only chew 10.2l/100km on a highway trip :)
  • you have to turn the stereo down and the A/C off to strain to listen that the motor is actually running whilst doing 110km/h on 1600rpm :)
  • your kids will love you more because you have the coolest truck :)
I have so much more to give! :) ;)

Fitted expanded aluminium mesh behind the grille. Keep the big bugs out of radiator and intercooler core.

Looking Great Jim. Arb bar really finishes the front off nicely. Making me want a 200 more and more with every picture. Bet you cant wait to get away with her.

Supercheap. Just note if your grille has a compound curve start in the middle and work out. It's heap easier and yu don't have to redo it. o_O

Also did the same on the Paj.

Installed the winch, this is my first “new “ warn. So I got enthustastic and made some mods as recommended by Mal Leslie.

winchmods16_zps6d5509e6.jpg

The 9.5 XP is not waterproof , it relies on being able to drain. The mods make it waterproof by sealing it and add a breather system. I have also added extra tierods to allow rope to spool unevenly if necessary and not jam up. Stripped it down

winchmods21_zps4bdeb85c.jpg

Baked the motor with ceramic clear coat to keep out rust

Shortened the motor cover to keep out dirt and mud.

Installed breathers
