That's quite a list, Moto. I think you have every possibility covered especially if you make you own shade wall. It may pay to devise an end wall using a tarp as we find it great in wet weather. On a 14' van the awning is not very big and if wind is blowing rain in, it is almost impossible to sit out there.

Anyway, I hope it comes soon. Good luck.

Well went to the show yesterday and had a chance to finally see our new layout in the flesh:cool:

Below are a few photos from the 'on-road' version on display (sorry about the crappy camera/phone quality).

Newbie here. Have been reading with interest re the new 14.44-4 Outback you have on order. Great to see the photos. We have ordered the same van with almost identical options. Looks like around mid June for delivery for us. Cant wait. We are going to see the van in the flesh (although as you say not the outback) at the show on Saturday.

Welcome to the forum, finally another 'mini-me' expanda outback member. When did you order yours? Our original delivery date was mid May when we placed our order, but now its June. You will love seeing it in the flesh!

Love this van the layout is so practical....

Is that photo of the window one of the rear bunks and the other end like an open nook or something?

Yes there is storage nooks everywhere on the bunks, both ends, top and bottom. The bottom bunk also has a window, and shelves, and also lift up base to reveal more storage underneath. Great storage for the kids crap!

Hi Moto. We originally ordered a 16.49-1B Outback earlier this year with a requested delivery after Easter but the more we looked at the 14.44-4 the more we liked it so changed our order. Seems to be plenty of room and only have to fold out 1 end and the bikes will be on the rear.

Same as us, we were very keen on the 16.49 models but we couldn't fit that model in our driveway. The 14.44-4 looks like a good compromise for us. I love the idea of the bike rack on the rear!

Got a call from Jayco yesterday, looks like our 14.44-4 is the first one to be fitted with a HWS. They realised the proposed location under the robe/pantry didn't meet gas regs (vent too close to fridge vent) and it had to be moved under the bottom bunk.

The joys of buying off the plan, quite a few things have changed. Feels like i am buying a prototype..............

Oh well:rolleyes:
