Just thought I would give up an update on our 16.49-4. We have gone away a few times and this holidays have gone to Merimbula where it is a bit warmer than home. Funny thing is, we have spent the last couple of nights looking at the 21.64!! We change work cars soon and can get something that tows a lot more so seriously considering a change to full size caravan rather than the pop-top...

Can I ask the reasons for considering the 21.64 over your current van? :)

I've always liked the full height vans rather than the pop-top, especially the larger cupboards around the top. But also for the shower/toilet, would be very handy with the kids. We seem to go away in the cooler weather rather than summer so it would be easier if we didn't have to drag kids out to the toilet block in the cold.
The little door separating the bunks from the main area is a good idea too, easier for kids to sleep while we are still awake.
Our van has no bench space, even a little bit of bench for getting dinner ready would be useful.

Sounds exactly like us... We are looking at possibly the 20.62-3 (or similar) in a couple of years. Want to do a decent trip but don't think the 14 would suit and want something with shower/toilet and a van where we can leave all the beds made (including ours) so not having to do really anything after a day on the road.

funny isn't it. we will probably go for a Starcraft or a Journey but want to keep a pop top, I feel they let in more air and light than a full van I just want a bed that doesn't need making up each night, but then you lose benches and cupboards so I guess everything is a compromise in the end
