Kenshi's 16.49.1B Outback

A bit of exciting news for us.
Picked up a second hand (2012) prado today. Traded the territory in for something a little more powerful and capable off-road. Also want to get into some basic 4wd ing and would love to explore the high country sometime. Got what we believe to be a great deal.

The prado is a diesel and has only done 25000km and is pretty much stock as a rock. The dealer supplied and fitted a Hayman Reece towbar as part of the sale. There was a Polaris GPS unit installed in the car, but we still have the original if we don't like it. So far all good. Drove back from melbourne like a dream.

Made it to Ballarat ARB this morning for their open day and put a deposit down on a winch bar as it was on special.

No doubt there will be more mods to come on this one. I have duel battery, roof racks, driving lights, different boots etc on the list. It just depends on $$$ and SWMBO

Our 9 week trip to Darwin and back through outback QLD is less than a year away, so need to get everything sorted before then.

Oh to have a Weber all shiny and new !!! Mine looks terrible but we give it a hiding with a roast every week as well as a pizza night every week as well and bbqs or steak for tea. Looks like crap but still tastes awesome. We hardly use the oven inside now.

My brother lives in the Marsh. Thanks for the congrats. ARB BALLARAT is a relatively small store, but a good setup nonetheless mate. Maybe we should organise a convoy with @17triton???

Thanks buddy. A couple of weeks wait I was told. Could certainly spend some money there. Those new LED spotlights look awesome. 720 each though....

Just as long as the two of you don't leave the old truck in the dust... Will definitely try and get to the ARB store. Others recommended I get one of their compressors so I'm hoping to grab one of those.

Hi mate. Yeah gonn try and get there. Even if only for an afternoon. I agree, nothing wrong with the Territory. We had many great trips in ours. Just wanted a 4wd to do some off-road trips.
