:encouragement:
Hope you let the tyres down and only left footprints @jacbaz ;)

Last time we were down that way we came across a dune and found a smouldering fire (Middle of summer????) which was littered with empty cans and stubbies....... Ended up carrying out a large garbage bag full of rubbish after cleaning up after the slack bar stewards but the beaches look like I remember them in your pics!

Usually pretty good down that area with idiots and their rubbish @jacbaz (Used to be anyway)... Unfortunately a lot of places getting shutdown for access due to the few that don't care.
Enjoy the West while you can :)

there are 3 caravan parks at Bremer Bay
Bremer Bay Resort - Frantom Way (never stayed - but looks nice - cant remember if this was just a resort or Resort & Van Park........)

Bremer Bay Beaches Resort & Tourist Park - Wellstead Rd - looks nice as well - Top Tourist or Big 4 - not sure from memory

Bremer Bay Caravan Park - Bremer Bay Road - the one we stayed at
LOVELY
close to the water (where Pelicans get feed every afternoon by some of the locals - great fun)
awesome Views around there as well...........
the coast along there is amazing..........

if you have time, pop down to the Wellstead Museum - Wellstead Rd.......... a lot of history of the area, as well as old cars and stuff to have a look at ($3 or $5 each from memory)
and the food at the small restaurant was great too.........

once you leave Esperence, a good stop for a coffee and a stretch is Ravensthorpe - the "Ravy Country Kitchen" does a great Bacon, Cheese & BBQ sauce toasted sandwich........ and a great Cappuccino..........
its just before the Ravensthorpe Tourist Info place.......... on your way into town, about half way up the hill on your left...........

@jacbaz if you are into fishing (Just noticed the tinny on the roof) check out the bays on your travels north between esperence and busselton for schools of salmon.

Could be a bit hit and miss as we are between the the northern run for them to "Do their thing" before heading south again ;)

Should be a few resident ones still around :fish2:

after Ravensthorpe you travel for a couple of hours and get to Jerramungup......... nice little town settled after the War as a "War Service Settlement"
note some of the street names
Lancaster
Monash
Kokoda
Moorshead

you get the idea.........

nice town, the Foodland / IGA is well stocked, and if its a warm day - an Ice creme wont go astray,

then further on down to Bremer bay

Another good stop if heading slightly inland @jacbaz when getting closer to Perth is the Pinjarra Bakery and Patisserie. They have shops at Pinjarra and Waroona!

@bigcol Had a curry pie from the Waroona store this morning for breakfast on the way to work. Thanks for the tip last September :clap2:

they havent gotten out of Esperence yet, was going to just feed them info before they leave one spot - so they dont get too confuddled..........

(yes, the Waroona one is good, as there is not as many people, so the service is great)

tis going to be cold down that way for a little while yet I'm sorry to say........

when you get to Albany, we always stay at Rose Gardens Beachside Holiday Park - Emu Point.......
far enough away to be peaceful, close enough to get into town......

there are a few MUST see things in Albany

the War Memorial at the top of Mt Clarence, as well as Princess Royal Fortress Museum. Not too sure where the new Centre is - I think its at the Fort, but its a good fun thing to look at (if your like me........)

near the Museum in Town is a replica of the Bark Amity (the ship that started Albany.........) very very small, for the amount of people who were in it......

The Whaling Station (Whale World) is a good thing to look at as well as the Whaling Ship they have beached there for you to look at........
hard life they had - irrespective of your views on Whaling...............
there is also a Cain there for where Bass (I think it was him -might have been Flinders..... too many years since I was in Albany) stopped for water

in between the Whaling Station and Albany itself is - The Gap, The Blow Holes and The Natural Bridge
well worth going and having a look, the awesome power of the Ocean is on display...............

on your way out to Frenchman Bay (Whaling Station) you will pass a Distillery, close to Albany - maybe a stop, if your interested.........

We ended up coming straight to Albany from Esperance ... The rain and wind are coming with us!
Went to Mt Clarence yesterday, didn't go through the Centre as we both wanted to look at the whaling centre which was very interesting. On the way there, we stopped in at the Blowhole and the Salmon Holes - The Gap and Bridge were shut as they're redoing the area because too many dills are falling off! On the way back, we went back up to Mt Clarence to see it all lit up. It really is a beautiful site.
We ended up staying at Emu Gardens Big 4 - new people took over in November (they also own the Middleton Beach Big 4). Very few people here - we have had an 'ensuite' site of 6 toilets and 6 showers to ourselves!!! $38 per night for the 2 of us less 10% Big 4 discount - pretty good value.
Today we went for a wander through Albany town, then walked around the Harbour and Port areas before throwing in a line at Emu Point (no luck!)
Watched them slip a huge boat down at the Marina and currently sitting back having a drink.
Getting more and more relaxed as the days pass. Heading off to Busselton tomorrow, stopping in at Denmark on the way. May free camp for a night before Busselton ... undecided yet.
