Generators Nuisance Noise Psycho Killer

Just a little note about an event that could turn me into a psycho killer.

A couple weeks ago we camped out at Nindigully (1/2 hour from St George QLD). We pulled up, set up camp a reasonable distance from others and sat down to relax.
A small while latter a grey nomad starts his generator (3:00pm), I internally think he's a P-rick and focus on my hops drink. Half hour latter he comes around the back of his van and pulls the plug (240Volt) out of his van and hangs it. I'm watching him as I contemplate the noise and think 'mmmm, I won't say anything cause the way this guy is parked he must be with the van in front (less than 1/2 a meter between his car and van in front, they may be sharing one generator. He plugs the lead back into his van an hour latter.

At 9:30PM the generator is still going. I'm in bed and deciding whether it's worth confronting the guy...Ignoring him just costs a bit of piece and quiet,,,,,,,,,confronting him could destroy the weekend (cause I'm a lover not a fighter).... I ignore him and go to bed..

The next day after this nomad packs up and leaves; the lady from the van in front of him talks to me and complains about his generator, him parking so close, his obnoxious demeanour, and that her husband had to ask him to turn the generator off (and got lip because of this request),.

My questions are:

a) Why the hell would this guy unplug his generator and leave it going?
b) Why do some people with generators think that common decency infringes on their rights?
c) Should I post photos of this guys van?
d) Should I have peed in his fuel tank?

My bug bear is music. For me, nothing worse than finding a beautiful camp site and then being forced to listen to someone else's music all day.

Oh yeah !!!!! only hearing doof, doof, doof from some Boof really gets me riled as well, as well as whinging kids, stupid city people with chainsaws going in camp and some fool blocking me in.

Ive a bit partial for a bit of generator action ... but I got the memo titled "Generator only for a few hours late morning" (unless its really hot, then unfortunately everyone can just suck it up)

My mum taught me common decency, but even she would have parked the car next to his van and turn up the stereo, rolled some sausages on his BBQ, sat in his chairs, drank his beer ..... sharing is not limited to noise ....

Or you find a very old musical instrument....violin we use.....and start your practice at the most annoying time.

We can't play the thing, have absolutely no idea, but try very hard to make as much noise as possible with it while debating whether we'll ever improve.

Have found that playing decent music loud doesn't always work as it's not discordant enough.

We then head for cover!

re generators, IF I am using mine it will be between reasonable hours and for a reason, and god help any old nomad that tries to tell me other wise as I to was taught R-E-S-P-E-C-T
