Hi all.
I bought two of the acu-rite units from USA a few months ago. One for me & one for my neighbor. Only one temp sensor works on mine from new & my neighbor's works great & very happy with it. ( of cause it does)

A lesson learned in test before you distribute .....
Exactly same as we found. Took a little while, but now is matching the fridge setting exact. Should work more than adequately in the caravan. Must remember to take it out and take the batteries out!
Mine arrived and works well in the home fridge. The pairing takes care of there being more than one in the same area. Will use some sort of code to seperate. Would be interesting if you turn them all off and then try to pair them.
If you pair them when they are right next to each other, should work fine.

I contacted seller in usa. They didn't offer replacement part but refunded $15.00 instead. I can get by with only one sensor working.

I just found out who is my secret Santa victim so I ordered another one for his rig, if he doesn't like it I'll let him give it to me for my beer fridge...........................................the bugga will probably want it....
Just completed a 24hr test run of it on the van fridge, mainly just to have a decent temp check on fridge and after 5hrs (1300 - 1800) with 34c outside the freezer was down to -2 in about 3 hrs while the fridge took longer and was only down to 12c in 5hrs on setting 6, but the inside was bloody hot when I started but by 0600 (fridge on setting 3 overnight) freezer was at -6 and fridge was sitting at 2.4c and stayed there all day so it proved my fridge mods, fan and panelling work a treat and these remote temp units are very handy. Found the range to be about 10mts or so with walls and stuff in the way.
My replacement unit arrived yesterday and set it up today. Worked perfectly in the home fridge so will set up in the new van when it arrives, 11th December.
New van for Xmas,
the new smell, the mods to do, taking it out and getting it dirty in roadworks..............I'm so envious.......

Ours probably arrived on the same truck but we will be away so have arranged to have a look at it on the 8th and if it is as ordered we will pick up on 11th. This will give them a chance to fit anderson plugs and a couple of other things we want.
