Well the engineer did the usual and passed his task onto a graduate... Report back was "Looks like a well made valve... Can't see anything wrong with this one.... Why don't you try stretching the spring?" :o

So took his advise?? this afternoon and now have the best pressure in the van since we got it..... But lets see for how long?

After refitting and testing thought I'd check the water heater anode out of curiosity after 16 months..... o_O

Good old WA quality water for ya!!!!!!!

After remembering a slight leak inside the last van when changing one (and issues others have had on here with the lack of sealing around the water heater) I came up with this idea to get the water away from the van!

Any more pressure issues and the spring will get re-stretched, washer fitted etc on site and I'll do my own investigation on a new valve afterwards.
Got your moneys worth out of the that anode @dagree, although I think there's a couple more weeks left in that little lump on the stick. I went to check my anode on the weekend and I suspected it may leak into the van. I sealed along that facia lip where it over laps the HWS case (if that makes sense) under the pipe glue in your pic ... that looked like where any leak would happen. I find out next weekend

I just pulled the guts out but left the small restrictor in and all is good, I think one of the biggest problems is not enough pressure to start with and the valve cuts it back even more. Sort of like the water saving devices in showers etc, I have to pull them out at home as being on tank water not enough pressure.

Was going to seal the same place @Crusty181 but the sealant had gone off so went the next/cheaper option.... Use whatever was in the shed!!!!!
OH and there will be no issue with that glued joint coming apart........ Slipped ;)

Called into Repco with my daughter to help select some new speakers for her car and ended up walking out with an early Father's Day present for myself ;)
Brand called "Gear UP" and (supposedly) made by the same factory as the rhino rack awning. $179 so could refuse!!!

Caravan mods have slowed down due to running out of ideas !!!!!!
Dragged it out from under cover to measure up for a bike carrier idea I had and remembered that I hadn't completed the sat dish holder "Take 3" version.... Long story short the fabricator stuffed up the mods on the first stainless steel one then made a new one out of thin walled mild steel that got squashed first time I clamped it in the jockey wheel clamp :o and started showing signs of rust after two weeks!

Went and visited an ali fabricator we use for work this morning and grabbed an "offcut" of 40mm aluminium pipe.... Borrowed his bender and made a new post myself..... Want it done right then do it yourself ;)

And for @bigcol who suggested a plate under the bottom to stop it dropping when loosening the clamp... Here's my fix.

Forgot to mention that you need a clear line of sight to the satellite so it's a bit miss and hit in areas where there are a lot of trees

While doing the dish holder the neighbours brother came over to see what I was doing... Due to marriage issues he had to sell his van complete with sat TV setup but forgot to hand over his 3 week old never used digital satellite finder. Bonus for me $50 and it's mine :)

A very tidy mod which I will copy when I get one.............what about a sleeving the bottom of the pipe where it clamps to stop any crushing over time ?? I say that as I recall a mounting I had which was similar and some blockhead leant against the post a bit too much.

It's 4mm wall thickness @Drover ... Should be OK (Compared to the 1.6mm the previous one was made from) but will keep an eye on it!
